MJA : Time Is Not Enough

Melanie Jayne went ahead and arranged for dinner to be set up in the bedroom for Victor. He was too tired to get up and he was going to miss dinner entirely. She slowly got up without moving Victor too much and she went out to see everyone at the dining area.

Lorenzo: How is he?

MJ: He's asleep.

Lorenzo: He must be tired.......

MJ: He is. He's had a long day. I'm just gonna let him have dinner in the bedroom later when he wakes up.

Christopher: He's not joining us here tonight?

MJ: No, sweetie. Daddy's had a long day.

Jean: You'd better have dinner then, Mitsuru. You've had a long day as well.

Melanie Jayne just smiled and had her dinner quickly. She didn't really eat much because she wanted to spend time with Victor later. She looked calm and happy.

Lorenzo: Do you think you can join the meeting tomorrow?

MJ: I will.

Lorenzo: Good. I know it was a little bit of a rough start.......

MJ: (smiles) I think it was alright. Some things just cannot be avoided. I'll fix it tomorrow......

Jean: Mr. Sommerville and Miss Roberts will join us tomorrow.

MJ: I know. All the more reason for me to join the meeting. (stands up) I'm gonna have to excuse myself now. I wanna go check on Victor. I'll see you guys later........

Christopher: Later, mommy......

Melanie Jayne opened the bedroom door slowly and saw Victor sitting up on the bed. She quickly sat beside him and hugged him.

MJ: Are you ok? How long have you been awake?

Victor: A minute......or two....... (looks at Melanie and smiles)

MJ: Did you have a good sleep?

Victor: I did.

There was a knock on the door. It was Ayaka. She and the maids had brought dinner.

Victor: You didn't have to do this........

MJ: I gotta make sure you're eating well.......

Victor: (smiles) Thank you for always looking out for me, love.......

Melanie Jayne just sat on a chair beside the bed and watched Victor eat. She was feeding him and wiping his face as he was having his dinner.

Victor: You spoil me, Melanie Jayne.........but......I guess I could get used to this....... (smiles)

MJ: (smiles) Good. Coz I am gonna be taking good care of you, Mr. Kline........ (caressing Victor's face) You're always looking out for me........

Victor: (smiles) Of course I'll look out for you. I love you, Melanie Jayne.

MJ: I love you too, Victor. (hugs Victor) I just want you to be ok........

There was a knock on the door. Christopher pokes his head in to see if Victor was alright. Victor told him to come in.

Christopher: Are you ok, daddy?

Victor: I am. (smiles) Have you had dinner?

Christopher: I have.

Melanie Jayne excused herself to clear the tray off the bed for the maids to pick up outside. Christopher smiled at Melanie Jayne and turned to look at Victor. As soon as the door shut behind her, Christopher asked Victor.
