MJA : Time Is Not Enough

Regroup

Everyone arrived safely at the Yamamoto family home. Kaito made sure everybody were comfortable and taken care of. Melanie Jayne sat in the lounge with her mobile computer and digital tablet. She was figuring out the best way to keep everyone safe without risking anyone's life. The last thing she wanted was to lose more people. Collins had gone far enough to killing innocent people and she was not about to let him touch the people who matter most to her.

Jean was seated with her. He was helping her prepare the defense as well as attack plans for when they really need to hunt down Natalia. There was no time to waste. Victor sat down beside Melanie Jayne. He was quiet.

MJ: How are we doing this, Jean? Live bait or decoy?

Victor was shocked.

Victor: You are not going out there, Melanie Jayne!

Jean looked at Victor and then, he turned to look at Melanie Jayne.

Jean: I'm afraid I am with Mr. Kline on this, Melanie Jayne. I cannot let you go out there. Not when Natalia is hunting you.

Victor: Thank you, Jean.

MJ: What are our options then? She wants me dead. Correct?

Jean: Melanie Jayne. She will kill you at the first opportunity she gets and then, she will kill every single one of the ones you love. Every single one.

Jean sat back on his seat and took a deep breath.

Jean: She will not kill me. I will hunt her down.

MJ: No, Jean! You can't go out there! 

Victor: What makes you so sure she won't kill you, Jean?

Jean: She wants me to see the people I have gave up my life protecting killed before me.

Victor took Melanie Jayne's hand. He was terrified. From what he had learned about Natalia is that she has no self-control and she will stop at nothing. She will kill every single one of Melanie Jayne's family and loved ones with absolutely no remorse. 

MJ: She will kill you too, Jean! I can't lose you! (hugs Jean) I can't lose you! (starts to cry)

Jean smiled at Melanie Jayne and wiped the tears on her face. 

Jean: You have to think of the bigger picture here, Melanie Jayne. Kai needs you. Christopher needs you. You would do the same if you were in my position. Please understand the gravity of these decisions.

Jean went ahead and explained what he had planned out so far to Victor and Melanie Jayne. He was just going to play live bait for Natalia to come out. Everything else had already been planned and prepared for apprehending her.  

Victor: Why would you apprehend her? Why not kill her the moment you have the chance to get rid of her completely? 

Kaito and Lorenzo joined Melanie Jayne, Jean and Victor.

Kaito: Because......Mr. Kline.........Jean is a man of honor. He keeps a promise when it is made and he had promised me to bring that witch to me alive. (takes out his Katana) I have said it once and I shall say it again. I will have her hanged at the gates of the Yamamoto family house! I shall have her head and she shall be paraded across the village as a symbol of betrayal and treachery!

Victor kept silent. He was terrified of the slightly drunk and angry Kaito. He is so much more terrifying than what Melanie Jayne had told him when she went for the meeting with him and Lorenzo and Jean.
