MJA : Time Is Not Enough

Sebastian and I have managed to perfect the simulation of the new compound for the kevlars. We have been at it for weeks and finally, we can move to the next level of tests which is producing the actual thing and putting it to the test. This is when we need Theodore and Jean to come in.

MJ: Do you think you can find the same exact explosives Samuel planted at the house, Jean?

Jean: I am certain we can. How much do you need?

Theo: Melanie Jayne.....erm......Mitsuru......Where do you suppose we shall be testing this prototype? I don't feel like having explosives within the training grounds is a good idea considering.....it is within the residential premise.......

MJ: Well, I am hoping you could find us a testing ground, Theo.......Any ideas?

Theo: I shall have to scout around.......

Jean: Perhaps.....we should wait till it warms up a little more?

MJ: Totally. I wouldn't want you to go out there in the cold, Theo.

Theo: I can ask around, if you want. That way we wouldn't be wasting time.

I smiled. This was good team work. I was very happy with how we were all working together on this. I joined Victor in the bedroom before heading out to lunch with the family.

Victor: Meeting went well, I assume?

MJ: Very well. We've been at this for weeks and I must say, if Sebastian wasn't with me, I would still be struggling with the simulations.

Victor: What d'ya know? This is what he should have been doing all this while.

MJ: I know. What about you? What have you been up to?

Victor: Well, I am in much need of a haircut. (combing his hair with his fingers) Maybe a little shave too.......

MJ: You look fine. (kisses Victor) I'm kinda liking your Clint Eastwood look. (touching Victor's hair)

Victor: Really? I look like a cowboy now? That can't be good. (laughs) Takeshi said I'm going to need some suits.

MJ: Suits? Like formal ones?

Victor: Yeah. I assume we'll be going to meetings soon.

Victor sounded a little nervous. He's not used to attending formal board meetings.

MJ: (looks at Victor and smiles) You've got this, Victor. I know you do. I am so proud of you.

Victor: You'll be coming along too.....right?

MJ: Yes, babe. I will have to.

Victor smiled. Not sure if it was because he knew I was going to the meetings with him or if it's because I called him 'babe'. He did say he prefered 'honey'. We had lunch with the family and I was back at work with Jean, Theodore and Sebastian after that. I was talking to Jean about the explosives. Theodore looked a bit uneasy.

MJ: You alright, Theo?

Theo: Yes. I just.....erm.....I am not comfortable with explosives.......

Seb: You think we'd want YOU to be the testing dummy? (laughs)

MJ: You are NOT doing such things. Don't worry, Theo. We are all going to be standing at a very safe distance.

Jean: We shall be needing a large plot of land to test on. I shall need a rough estimation of the safe distance.....

Seb: Done. I'm sending it to you and Theo as we speak. (looks at Theodore) Find a bigger plot of land if you are so afraid of explosives....... (laughs)
