Things escalated so fast that there was hardly any time for anyone to do anything except react to everything that was happening. Natalia was very swift with her movements. Jean was very worried about her being too close proximity to Melanie Jayne but by the time anyone realized it, she was already there and even though Theodore was highly trained and had been preparing for this day all week, he was injured just as much.

Natalia managed to grab a hold of the fork on the table within milliseconds and if it wasn't for Theodore's instincts to pull Melanie Jayne away from her, she would have been stabbed right away. Natalia managed to stab Theodore on his arm. When she realized she missed her target, she pulled out the fork and attempted to stab Melanie Jayne again. Theodore had already grabbed Melanie Jayne at the time so despite her injuring Melanie Jayne, she was not entirely harmed.

Victor was witnessing all this chaos from his standpoint. He was already worried the moment Natalia stepped into the café but he was ordered to stand in position. If he had it his way, he would have shot her in the head right away. When he saw Natalia attacking Theodore and Melanie Jayne, he immediately made his way towards his wife. Leo tried to tell him to stay but he was too worried about losing Melanie Jayne. He got to her in time. Natalia fell to the ground and Jean was already lying on the floor, bleeding so much.

There was no gunshot heard anywhere. Christopher and Baek-Hyon were already prepared to take Natalia in alive throughout the entire training after being briefed about what Kaito had intended to do with her. While packing up their gear, Christopher and Baek-Hyon were laughing about the tranquilizers they had packed. It was meant to take down elephants in the wild for relocation purposes. Christopher's rifle was heavily modified. He had the shooting range of at least 500-yards. His rifle needed to be powerful enough to shoot the tranquilizer darts from a very distant standpoint.

Melanie Jayne was injured but she wasn't about to let Natalia hurt Jean. She couldn't. Jean was everything to her. She couldn't afford to lose him. Not now. Not ever. She watched Jean fight like he was someone else. She had never seen Jean get into any physical fights with anyone before and watching him fighting Natalia the way he was terrified her so much. She was also amazed at Jean's capabilities to fighting despite his age. She was watching the man who raised her and taught her how to fight in action. She knew the risks of interfering but when she saw Jean losing the battle, she couldn't just stand by and watch Natalia kill him. She pushed Natalia aside with everything she had.

Natalia was already shot at least twice by the time Melanie Jayne tried to push her away from hurting Jean. Still, Natalia was standing strong and fighting. Melanie Jayne was just lucky that she was too heavily sedated at the time to complete her mission in killing Melanie Jayne altogether. Jean was right about being very worried Natalia getting too close to Melanie Jayne. She was never prepared to face Natalia.

Jean was on the floor. Melanie Jayne tried to get him to wake up. He was unconscious from losing so much blood. Melanie Jayne tried to put pressure on the wound on his leg. She was also screaming his name, telling him to get up. She was crying. Victor was with her, trying to get Jean to get up. He was so terrified if he died. Jean had always been there with them since the very beginning. Theodore got up to check on Jean. Lorenzo and Nick arrived and waited for the medical team to arrive with everyone.

Natalia was already secured and taken away into an SUV. Christopher and Baek-Hyon were on their way to the café.

MJ: (crying) Jean!!! Get up, Jean!!! Please! Don't leave me!!!

Melanie Jayne pressed her face onto Jean's chest. She kept shaking him, telling him to get up. After a few minutes, Jean coughed out blood. He was conscious. He opened his eyes and looked at Melanie Jayne.
