MJA : Time Is Not Enough

Breaking Point

Kana was having a warm bath after a long day of endless meetings. She was tired and a good, hot bath was what she needed to unwind. She stepped into the tub and gently rested her head onto the headrest. The bathroom was steamy and smelled like the candles she had burning. There was a hint of cinnamon and a bit of sandalwood and sage. It was a curated scent Lorenzo had made especially for her from one of his business trips and it quickly became her favourite scent every time she misses him when he was away.

Kana was resting peacefully and everything became quiet. As she let herself drift away in thoughts about how she would like to spend the New Year's Eve with her husband, she noticed the bathroom door opening slowly ever so slightly from the misty vanity mirror. She called out to her maid asking if it was her sending in some fresh towels but there was no reply. She suddenly felt a certain urgency to get up and check to see if someone really was in the bathroom with her at the time so she got up and wrapped herself in a towel.

As she slowly looked around the vanity and the towel rack to see if anything had been moved, she turned around to shut the bathroom door. That was when she realized that there were muddy footprints on the carpet of the bedroom heading into the bathroom. She panicked and called for help. She was calling for Natalia but there was no reply. She ran out from the bathroom but felt someone grabbing her by her arm and pushing her up against the bathroom wall. It was Collins.

Melanie Jayne woke up to the loud noises outside. It sounded as though things were being thrown around and there were things breaking. There were loud noises of voices as well. Someone was yelling and screaming at something or someone. Melanie Jayne got dressed quickly and headed out to where the commotion was coming from. Theodore was standing at the door looking out into the training ground.

Theo: Please stay back, Melanie Jayne. It could get dangerous.

MJ: What the hell is going on?! It's not even 9 in the morning!

Melanie Jayne took a peak outside and saw her father getting all angry and throwing things around. He was definitely drunk. He was breaking things with a bokken and he was hitting anything and everything around him. Nick was seen standing on the other side of the area. Victor came around to see what was happening. Takeshi told him to stay back as well.

Victor: Shit......

MJ: What d'ya mean "shit"? What is going on?

Melanie Jayne headed to Jean's room. He was sitting upright and looking out the window. When Melanie Jayne walked in, he looked at her and smiled.

MJ: What is going on with my dad? What is he so angry about? Is he drunk? We haven't even had breakfast yet.

Jean: Well, if you really wanted to get to know your father......this is your chance......

MJ: What the hell does that mean?

Victor walked into the room.

Victor: Should we erm......do something, Jean? I mean......he's obviously really drunk......

Melanie Jayne ran back out to see what was happening with Lorenzo. Theodore told her to keep her distance but she just ignored him and called out to her father.

MJ: Dad!

Melanie Jayne tried to get closer to her father. Theodore followed her while trying to keep her safe from anything that might hit her from her father losing his control over everything that he's breaking apart.

MJ: Dad! What is going on with you?! Hey!

Lorenzo: Quella fottuta stronza! Avrei dovuto ucciderla quando ne ho avuto la possibilità! Quel fottuto pezzo di merda di bassa classe! Osa avvicinarsi al mio Kana! AAAArgh!!!!
