XXIX- Finally

Cara's POV

I missed his arms around my body, his warmth, his deep voice... everything! I miss this feeling of security whenever he's around me. I missed him so much. Parang hindi dalawang taon yung lumipas kundi parang dalawang daang taon.

I'm trying so hard not to cry cause I don't want him to see that I badly want to hug him right now and just fall in his arms but I failed. Tears ran down my cheeks and all I can do was hold his hands that was resting on my stomach. Bakit pa ba niya ako pinuntahan dito? His life is peaceful now.

"Ken, sorry. Hindi ko gustong saktan ka. That was never my intention. All I was thinking that time was that I was putting you and everyone around me in danger kaya ako umalis. I didn't want to hurt you. I just wanted you to be safe at maging tahimik na yung buhay mo." sabi ko.

"Aanhin ko yung mga yon kung wala ka naman sakin?" sabi niya.

My heart wants to melt but all I can think of was that night when Ken almost died because of me. Kung hindi lang sa memory na yon, I would've ran to his arms and stay there.

Hinaplos ko yung likod ng palad niya. "Tahimik na yung buhay mo ngayon. Look how successful you are and you did all that without me. I'm so proud of you Ken, but please. Wag mo na guluhin yung buhay mo by being with me." sabi ko.

"Cara, I'd rather face death with you by my side than live peacefully without you. Hindi ko na kaya. 2 years has been too long. Cara, please. Ang sakit sakit na. Araw-araw, oras-oras na wala ka sa tabi ko parang pinipiga yung puso ko. Let's go home. Hmm? Kuro's waiting for his mom." kumbinsi niya.

"Sorry, Ken. Hindi na pwede." sabi ko.

Lumayo siya sakin at giniya ako paharap sakanya. "Hindi na pwede?" tanong niya.

Pinunasan ko yung luha ko. "Ken, I-"

Bumukas yung pinto at pumasok si Jung and Asher. "Nanay!" sigaw ni Asher at yumakap sakin.

Sobrang lakas nung tibok ng puso ko. Makilala kaya ni Ken si Asher? Anong sasabihin ko kung oo? Pano ko ieexplain sakanya? Tatanggapin kaya niya si Asher?

"Felip." sabi ni Jung at nagpalipat-lipat saming dalawa yung tingin niya.

"Jung." sabi ko.

"Mr. Wei." sabi ni Ken.

"Everyone's in the pantry for breakfast. Would you like to eat?" tanong ni Jung.

"Nanay, eat." aya ni Asher habang hinihila yung kamay ko.

Nakatingin lang si Ken saming dalawa. "Okay, nak. Wait lang ha? Nanay just need to talk to someone." sabi ko.

"Tatay?" tanong niya.

Tinignan ko si Ken na naging seryoso yung muka. Lumevel ako kay Asher. "Go eat breakfast and look for tita Lea, okay?" sabi ko.

Tumungo nalang siya. "Bye." sabi niya sakin.

"Jung, can you go with him?" tanong ko.

"Yeah. I'll see you there?" tanong niya at hinawakan yung likod ko.

"Yes, we'll be there." sabi ko.

Umalis na sila at sinara ko na uli yung pinto. "So ikaw pala yung mama ni Asher?" sabi niya.

"Ken, please let me-"

"Kaya ba hindi na pwede?" tanong niya.

"Ken, hindi naman ganon. I'm sorry I had to keep it a secret." sabi ko.

"You don't have to explain anything to me. Sino ba ako?" sabi niya then he started walking out the door.

"Ken, please." sabi ko and followed him.
