9. He's dangerous!!

Diamond's POV: I've been seeing Roman for weeks. I had to go home & face the music with my friend Jasmine. She was so happy for me. Roman convinced me to stay at his house the majority of the time. I loved it there. I gotta admit I wasn't used to housekeepers and chefs being there but it was really nice. He had a wonderful security team.

Work was going great. Roman chewed Amanda's ass for approaching me, he wanted to fire her but I begged him not too. I didn't want her to loose her job behind me. It wasn't that serious . I didn't know what to call me & Roman. Whatever it was it felt good. He would buy me nice things, like diamond earrings, a necklace, & flowers. I told him I didn't need those things, I wasn't a gold digger, I wasn't after his money. He even was showing me love on my paychecks. I asked him to stop. I didn't wanna turn into one of those girls.

One night, we was getting ready to leave work. I was sitting in Roman's office waiting on him to get done doing whatever he was doing so we could go. Everyone at the company knew about me and Roman. I had some haters but alot of people were happy for me. Said we looked great together. I sat in the office waiting, when all of a sudden I heard talking. I decided to see what was going on.

As I walked down the hall, I saw Roman, Josh & a bunch of other guys talking. They handed Roman at suitcase full of money, & he handed them a big back of drugs, it looked alot like crack, cocaine. I instantly felt sick. I made sure I remained quiet and out of the way , so nobody would see or hear me. The guys left. I overheard Josh say. "I don't think we should do this anymore". Roman got so upset. Just then he pulled out a gun on Josh. he told Josh that he wasn't going to stop doing what he was doing. He also told Josh that if he didn't keep his mouth shut, something awful was going to happen to him.

I didn't stick around to hear or see the rest. I grabbed my things & ran out of there. I went to the nearest pay phone to call Jasmine. I sat & waited for her. I cried so hard and I was so scared, I was scared for Josh & myself. Out of all the men in L.A. I had to fall in love with a drug dealer & a guy who threatens people with guns. I was in love with Roman, he didn't know it yet. I didn't know how to tell him. I cried & cried. Just then Jasmine pulled up . We left.

Jasmine: honey, what's wrong? Omg did he hurt you?

Me: no, let's just go home. I don't wanna talk about it right now.

We made it home, I took a hot bath. I cried in the bathtub. Why? Why me? I honestly loved this man but I can't date a drug dealer. My mama would kill me. & That look on his face, it terrified me, he looked so dark & evil. That wasn't the Roman I knew, he was so different with me. I wonder how he's getting away with this? It dawned on me, he's using the company. He washing the dirty money through the company. Omg I work there too. What if he gets busted? What if they think I'm involved? Everyone knew about me & Roman. What if someone tells them that we were a thing? I started to scrub my body, I wanted to scrub Roman off of me. I never wanted to see him again!

Roman's POV: I had to straighten Josh's ass out. He wanted out but let's not forget, I'm the reason why he has nice cars, & a nice penthouse in the Eastern Columbian Building. The moment things get a little hairy, he wants to bail. Fuck that!! I went back to my office looking for Diamond & she was gone. What the fuck? I said to myself. She wasn't at her desk or in the bathroom. Damn she left me and didn't even say goodbye. I called her house, Jasmine said she was sleeping. Damn why did she go home? She's been staying with me every night. If she wanted to go home all she had to do was tell me, I would have took her. I know I've been keeping her from her friend but it wasn't on purpose. I love being with her. We was having lots of fun. Honestly, I think I love her. Yes Roman Peters in love!! I couldn't believe it myself but I definitely couldn't fight it anymore. She was the one!! I want her to have my babies!! Maybe even be my wife one day. I decided to go home. I took a shower and went to bed. It was so lonely without her there. Normally I would call another girl, but I didn't . I only wanted Diamond.

The next day, I went to diamond's house. Her & Jasmine's car was gone. Damn she already left. We didn't she call me. I went to work. I was a little pissed why is she avoiding me? We had a meeting, Diamond wouldn't look at me. I got so angry. The meeting was over. She ran out of there. I found her at her desk.

Me: Diamond?

Diamond: Mr. Peters?

I looked at her. I was confused. Why was she calling me Mr. Peters again.

Me: Mr. Peters really?

Diamond: yes, can I help you ? She looked at me with a angry look.

Me: Can I see you in my office?

Diamond: is it work related?

I stared at her.

Me: no, but.. she stopped me

Diamond: then no. I have alot of work to do. I can't socialize right now.

I got so angry.

Me: diamond what the hell? Listen if you want your job, come to my office now!! I shouted. Everyone was looking at us.

Diamond: fine.

We went into my office. I shut the door. She just stood there. She had a look of disappoinment on her face.

Me: what the hell is your problem? Calling me Mr. Peters, leaving last night without telling me, avoiding me what did I do now? Did someone tell you something?

Diamond: no! I don't wanna see you anymore!

Those words hurt..

Me: & why the fuck not??

Diamond: you could have told me you were a drug dealer. Then threatening Josh with a gun. why do you carry guns? Why are you dealing drugs? You make alot of money here.

I looked at her. How did she know about that? Josh must have told her. I'm going to kill him!!

Me: how did you know about that? Did he tell you?

Diamond: no he didn't have to. I saw and heard the whole thing last night. Don't worry I won't say anything, but I don't date drug dealers.

Me: Diamond, it's complicated!! Please don't do this too me baby.

Diamond: don't do this too you? Roman you are a drug dealer, you carry guns. We have fucked in this office, your house, your car, my DNA is everywhere if you get caught, it won't be long before they connect the dots and think that I'm involved. Not too mention everyone in this office knows we are a thing. One of your jealous ex bitches wouldn't mind lying to the police then boom I'm in trouble. I can't have that!! I can't believe that I love you.

I stared at her. She's in love with me.

Me: wait you love me? She looked at me she was crying .

Diamond: yes Roman I fuckin love you. She broke down. I hugged her.

Me: diamond, I... I love you too.

She looked up at me.

Diamond: you do? Really?

Me: yes, I didn't think it was possible me being in love. But hell yeah I love you. I wanna settle down with you.

Diamond: omg. Roman I can't do this..

She ran out of the office. I just stood there. She loves me and I love her but she doesn't want to date a drug dealer. I wasn't ready to give it up. I know that's selfish of me but it was true. I gotta make her see. I would never put her in any danger. I wouldn't let her go down with me. And I would make sure that no one would ever say anything about me & her. It's complicated I gotta explain things to her.
