40. Sins Of The Husband

Diamond's POV: Roman was trying really hard to get out of the game but I could tell that he was having issues. I prayed & prayed that God would change my husband. I was 8 months now. Ryan was coming soon. I was so ready to have him. Romeo & Juliette were growing so much. They looked so much like Roman.

Maria's cousin pulled through. I felt really bad for not telling her who jumped on him at the nightclub. I knew sooner or later she would find out. Her cousin didn't remember who jumped him.

Roman and I were trying to reconstruct our marriage. I loved him so much for trying. He would come straight home from work. He would try to be a family man. One day I went to confessions. I needed to get some things off out my chest.
I was talking to the priest .

Me: can I ask you a question?

Priest: yes go ahead.

Me: do you think that God forgives wives for their husband's sins? I mean you know since once you become married you are considered as one. Are my husband's sins my sins too?

Priest: your husband's sins are his sins alone. Unless you commit those sins together then his sins are not on you. Yes he is your husband but his sins are not yours and your sins are not his.

Me: I really want my husband to change. Do you think that if I pray about it God will change him?

Priest: God doesn't change people against their will, but you can pray that God touches his heart.

I broke down. He hugged me.

Priest: it's okay child. Do you have a rosary?

Me: yes, I do.

Priest: let's go to the altar and we will pray for your husband.

We went to the altar, we prayed and prayed. I broke down crying out to God. I wanted Roman to change I didn't want him to go to prison or worse end up dead. My kids would grow up without a father and I wouldn't have husband anymore. I didn't want that. I thanked the priest and went home. Roman and the kids were playing.

Roman: hey babe, where were you?

Me: I went to the church.

He kissed me.

Roman: is something wrong?

Me: Roman I love you, I want things to change. I don't want you to get in trouble or end up dead. I broke down. He hugged me.

Roman: shh, baby it's okay. I'm working on it baby I swear, I'm trying to get out. Please be patient and don't stress yourself out, don't worry the baby. Nothing's going to happen to me baby, I promise. I know what will make you feel better how about I run you a hot bath and I'll make you a sundae with hot fudge and whipped cream.

I smiled.

Me: with nuts?

He laughed.

Roman: yes with nuts, and then I'll make the bed for you with extra pillows so you can relax. Sound good?

Me: oh my God yes!!

We laughed. Roman ran my bath water, I got in. I took a long hot relaxing bath. Afterwards I went and got in the bed. Roman fixed it so nice. I laid down and relaxed. Just then he came in with my sundae. My eyes lit up. He teased me with it at first.

Me: Roman give it too me.

Roman: this is mines, you gotta go make your own.

We laughed.

Me: that's not fair, you told me you was making me one.

Roman: well I changed my mind.

Me: Roman!!!

He laughed.

Roman: okay okay,.

He gave it to me. It was so delicious. Roman sat beside me.

Me: babe you really gotta try some it's good.

Roman: that's okay love, you and the baby enjoy. Just then Romeo and Juliette came in. I knew I was in trouble, they took over my ice cream. Roman went into the kitchen to make them some. I held Juliette and Romeo laid on my shoulder. I sung to them. We all eventually fell asleep.

Roman's POV: I walked back into the room with the ice cream and all three of my angels were asleep. I smiled. I went to put the ice cream away. I went back into the room and covered them up they were sleeping so peacefully. I really loved them. I went into the living room to watch TV.
