25. Intimacy, Calm Before the Storm

Diamond's POV: I was now 6 months pregnant. I helped Roman The account at work. It took alot of hard work but together and with the help of our employees we got it done. Roman hasn't been moody lately, I was so relieved. Romeo is growing so fast, he goes to daycare now. I didn't want him to go but we thought it would be nice for him to be around other children. I still talk to Jasmine from time to time. Her & Pierre had a beautiful wedding last month. I was made of honor and Roman was Pierre's best man. They are so happy. I love that for them.

I'm ready to have this baby. I'm ready to see my little girl's face. I know she's beautiful. She kicks and flips all the time. I can tell she was going to be fiesty like me. Romeo was chill, & laid back like Roman, but he has a mean side unfortunately like his father.

One night, I had just got home from working. Roman didn't go on this particular day. I walked in and there was a candlelight dinner, and soft music playing I'm the background. I smiled. Just then Roman came to greet me with a hug & kiss. I sat at the table. So did he.

Me: baby this is beautiful!! Thank you

Roman: anytime, babe. How was work? Was everything okay at the office today?

Me: yes. Work was good. Babe what's the occasion?? I smiled.

Roman: well, nothing special. I just wanted to have a romantic night, you know talk, dance, maybe make love later if your feeling up too it?

I laughed.

Me: of course darling.

We ate our dinner.

Roman: I just wanted a little intimacy babe, I wanted to talk too you, hold your hand, look into your eyes, just spend time with you.

I smiled.

Me: aww, that's so sweet my love. I wouldn't mind doing those things with you. But first where's my baby?

Roman: he's with the sitter for the night. Is that cool?

Me: yes, of course. What did you wanna talk about ?

He held my hand.

Roman: diamond, baby tell me your dreams, what do you really want to do? Where do you wanna go? I know this conversation is like a year too late, I mean we are married and are about to have 2 children but I wanna know .

We laughed

Me: I'm glad you asked. Well I always wanted to own my business, I wanted to be a entrepreneur. When I was little I'd always dreamed of living on a island, where there's only a handful of people. Somewhere tropical but not in the United States. What about you?

Roman: honestly, I wanted to be a musician. I learned how to play the guitar when I was a kid. My dad wanted me to run the company, that was never my dream but I did it to make him happy. As far as the dark, dangerous side of me, I got that from my dad too. At first I hated it but I started to like it. I know that it's wrong but I did. I think about getting out babe but I think it's too late.

I rubbed his arm and smiled.

Me: it's never to late baby but you have to make the choice for yourself. You know that I don't like it but I love you and I've decided to accept what comes with that territory. As long as my children are safe, I'm cool.

Roman: babe, I would never let anyone hurt your or our babies. Trust me!

Me: I know babe.

Roman: are you happy.. you know with me??

Me: of course, why wouldn't I be?

He looked worried.

Roman: Diamond, I don't know babe. Sometimes I feel like I let you down or disappoint you.

Me: listen , I love you. Of course there are times where you get on my nerves and there have been times when I wanted to run away but my love is stronger than all of those feelings. Babe, you make me so happy. You are a good husband, father, you take care of me and Romeo, you made me part owner of your company and I've only been there a year, I have a happy life here. Of course I'm happy with you my love. Are you happy?

Roman: hell yes I am. You are the best wife any man could ever ask for. You put up with my bullshit. You're the mother of my children. Any woman who will get shot at because of me and still want too be with me is a keeper in my book. I know that sounds really shitty, but I mean it in a good way. I'm happier than I ever been in my life. Before you it was just woman after woman after woman, I didn't want commitments, marriage, kids, or love. When I met you, you changed my mind. I'm forever grateful because you showed me how love, how to want someone for them and not just for sex.

I cried. He had tears in his eyes.

Roman: so do you wanna dance with me?

Me: why yes sir!!

We laughed. We danced. He held me so tight, he rubbed my stomach, I kissed him. He had tears in his eyes, so did I.

Me: babe are those happy tears?

Roman: for sure!! And yours?

Me: yes.

He smiled. I laid my head on his shoulder and we danced. He buried his face in my hair. It felt so wonderful. Behind all that darkness was a sweet, loving, gentle man. I loved him so much.

Me: babe, this has been really sweet but I want you to make love too me now. Slow & gentle.

We laughed.

Roman: I think I can do that for you my lady. He said in a British accent.

We laughed and he led me to the bedroom. We made love. That night Roman gave me the most intense, and beautiful orgasm ever! Don't get me wrong he was a great lover, but on this night he was amazing. We laughed.
