35. Stay With Me

Roman's POV: As I sat in a business meeting listening to this boring exchange of words, I begin to think about Diamond & my children. I had a strange feeling that she was going to leave me. I've felt it for a few weeks now. I can't lose her or my kids. I love them far too much. People ask me do I feel guilty for Killin Julio, the answer is and always will be no! If somehow he magically came back to life, I would kill him again.

I feel guilty for bringing Diamond and my children into this mess I created. Having her move across the world away from family & friends because of me. Diamond is a patient woman, a good wife, a good mother and a great lover. She's beautiful, smart, & fierce! I love her so much. I'm forever grateful for her putting up with my bullshit .

We can't do back, if we do I face hard, hard prison time. I'm not afraid of prison, I can handle myself. I just don't wanna leave Diamond and my kids behind. If I go to jail, I will be gone for a long time. I wouldn't dare ask Diamond to wait on me but I can't fathom the idea of her meeting another man, falling in love with him, and having him help raise "MY" babies. No way, no how!

I'm still involved in the drug business. I'm making more money here than I ever made back home. Diamond doesn't know it, and I can't tell her. I don't wanna worry her, she's pregnant I don't wanna make her sick and cause her to lose our baby. She would never forgive me and honestly I would never forgive myself.

I decided to do something nice for my wife. Something to take her mind off of everything else, something that would ease some of her unhappiness. I bought her a beautiful dress. I rented a boat, I decided that I was going to take her out on a date. We were going to have a beautiful dinner on the water. I asked Maria if she could watch the kids, she said sure. Now the trick was getting diamond to go out with me. She hasn't been feeling well because of the pregnancy, hopefully she says yes.

I walked in the house, and there she was on the couch napping. I sat beside her, I gently rubbed her hair and kissed her forehead. She woke up and looked at me. I smiled at her she smiled back.

Diamond: hi sweetie, I'm sorry I didn't hear you come in, I was sleeping, I got off work a little early.

Me: it's okay dear. No need to apologize baby, you're pregnant, you need plenty of rest.

She smiled.

Diamond: omg, what time is it? I gotta get the kids.

She started to get up, I stopped her. She gave me a weird look.

Me: the babies are fine, they're with Maria for the night.

Diamond: why what's wrong? Is there trouble?

I laughed.

Me: no babe. Come here I wanna show you something.

I grabbed her hand and we went into the bedroom. I showed her the beautiful dress. It was powder pink, it had spaghetti straps, with gold sequins, it was a maternity dress. Her eyes light up when she saw it. I smiled.

Diamond: oh my goodness baby, it's beautiful! But why do I need it? Where are we going?

I smiled.

Me: it's a surprise. I want you to get dressed doll, take a shower whatever you need to do. I'll be waiting.

She went to get dressed and so did I. I decided to wear a white button down shirt, white dress pants, with white shoes. I left some of my buttons on my shit unbuttoned. I left my hair down but I combed it very neatly. Of course I had my hoop earrings in. I sat in the living room waiting for Diamond to come out.

She finally walked out and she was so beautiful. The dress fit her so perfectly, she had that pregnancy glow again, her beautiful red hair into a ponytail with curls at the end, diamond studded earrings, and gloss on her beautiful plump lips. She smelled so good. She made me weak everytime.
