"Sorry!" The woman said guiltily, instantly latching herself around the old friend and kissing his cheek. "I'm so sorry we're late. This one took forever to put on a decent outfit."

Levon stared down at his clothes, before scowling into an offended expression, with both Noel and Anaïs Gallagher staring back at him in amusement. "Ya call this decent? I put on a proper bloody effort for this!"

"Too bad Elaine isn't here to be impressed." Anaïs chuckled out, pulling away from the hug she and Valia had indulged in, with the older girl whispering a compliment on how beautiful she looked.

This caught both Val and Noel's attention.

"Who's Elaine?" She asked, staring confoundedly at her eldest son. Levon Gallagher was eighteen years old then. Almost two full decades of watching her first born grow into the man that he was today. And it wasn't much of a shocker when he gradually turned more and more into his own father. Just mere months ago, Levon was supposedly seeing another girl—–a name that even Valia could hardly remember anymore, due to how often these girls came and went.

Liam thought that it was quite dashing of his son to be able to reel girls in easily, but Valia was always against his boyish-like nature. "I thought you were seeing that other girl?"

"I fuckin' thought so too." Noel added in, all of them now seated. "What was her name? A model, wasn't she?"

Anaïs held in a laugh at how irritated the younger Gallagher boy appeared to be by the whole situation, no doubt hating that he was suddenly being shined under the spotlight——especially when he clearly dreaded partaking in the dinner with his uncle and cousin anyway. But his mother insisted, and compared to Liam, Val was the much more persuasive and strict parent.

Levon only shrugged. "That's done for." He says nonchalantly, flipping through the menu with a pure boredom tainting his aura. "Seeing some other girl now."

"I can't fucking keep up anymore." The former bassist shook her head, seemingly disappointed by her son's behaviour. She always tried her best to ensure that her children were raised in a way that differed from the lifestyle she and Liam had carried out in the past. Yet, it was difficult when Liam himself never truly let go of such behaviours—–sure, he had grown up into a far better character, and he was a brilliant father to his kids, but Valia still didn't agree with some of his approaches. "Do you even like this girl? Or are you just playing around?"
