After an exhausting day, Aurelia found Aldebaran in a dream.

This journey through memory and fragmented reality led her to a darkened bedchamber. Sprawled out on the opulent sheets was the magic thief, dressed in red and black finery. Only with the glow emanating from her could she see that the odd marks on their skin were carefully painted runes and magic lines. Their long, jet black hair was damp, sticking to their face and shoulders like they'd been doused by water.

They stirred, blue eyes widening in quickly delighted surprise.

"What are you wearing?" she blurted out.

They smiled. "Look at you, dreamwalking to me~ I just finished a ritual."

"For what?"

They each shifted on the bed to get more comfortable. She noted that Aldebaran seemed exhausted despite their overtly flirtatious words.

"I was born to pure blood vampires. I wanted to be able to eat other things besides blood. That spell needs upkeep every century."

"You were a vampire?"

"Yes. Technically I still am. It was dark elves that first cursed each other to be vampires. Hence the aversion to sunlight. How lovely that I broke that curse ages ago so that I can be with you, my Aura~"
