Aurelia joined Aldebaran in their study. Beyond the tall windows, a faintly luminescent, swirling world made more of colour and thought than actual substance drifted slowly by, casting the room in a comfortable evening-like glow. The mystic sat on the desk while she paced the floor.

Picking up a book that was no doubt centuries older than her, she mused, "So... how do you steal magic?"

The predatory grin that hinted on Aldebaran's twilight dark lips was cold enough to make her shiver. "Mm, do you really wish to know?"

"...Yes."

They leaned back on one hand, gesturing casually. "Through drinking blood mainly. It's a simple spell to absorb their life force, energy, and magic at once. But never mind such unsavoury things. My aura, would you like to learn magic?"

She looked at them hopefully. "Do you really think a human can do this?"

"Only one way to find out, my dear." They got up lithely, and took her hands in their own. Warm magic pulsed between them, faint runes and signs appearing in the air around them. "Mm. You seem to have great light and warmth affinity, Aura. Let us try that."

She shivered at the whispered spell in her ear. Repeating it, she gasped as golden lights formed over her palm. "Look! Ah I really do have magic!"
