Happily Ever After
~-~-~

Once upon a time, two humans fell into a magic world.

The gentle and shy woman found her true heritage and strength. A king found a trusted companion to rule with.

The fiery and confident human found direction and passion. A former bounty hunter found redemption and someone to call home as they traveled the world.

A life as royalty, defenders, and magic wielders awaited them beyond the tree in the garden, enchanted by a witch and a sun fae.

Aurelia and Kaidan were engaged at the first Sun Festival held in thousands of years. He gave her a ring made from metalized sunlight, a gold with a faint glow of warm energy.

She recruited all her friends to help plan the wedding of the century. One by one, she slowly won over the courtiers, helping run the kingdom in between preparations.

Meanwhile, Alexan and Maxim were officially appointed to ambassadorial positions. They strengthened the alliances between Velaan and other kingdoms.

While their constant banter occasionally led to real arguments, their relationship steadily grew to be impenetrably strong. In lieu of a real wedding, the drahke offered his mage a scale from his wings, the traditional offer of lifetime partnership by drahkes and dragons alike.

Years passed, and the royal couple had several children. They all had gold or white hair tinged by sunlight, green or blue eyes, and phenomenal magic. With such wise and compassionate parents, they grew to be strong leaders and magicians (after the chaotic years when their wings were first flyable).

Alexan and Maxim finally decided to try, only to lose the clutch. Some time later, they rescued two young hybrid siblings. Having been rejected by society for their strange parentage, they'd been abandoned and joined a gang of pickpockets. Their strong and strict adoptive parents straightened them out, with one staying with them on international missions, while the older sibling stayed in Velaan palace, considering Aurelia and Kaidan second parents more than an aunt and uncle.

The years softened the bias against the Dark Elves and Devos, much thanks to the efforts of the former humans.

Sarana's future was bright at last - in every sense of the word.
