As kings and courtiers descended closer to steal back the golden haired belle of the ball, Aldebaran put an arm around her waist.
"How would you like to see my castle in the waking world, my Aura?"
Her green eyes widened in eager surprise. "Really? You would let me visit?"
They chuckled fondly. "Of course. On the night of a blue moon, teleportation is especially easy for me. Come on! Let me sweep you off your feet~"
She laughed as they did indeed pull her into their strong arms, taking her further into the shadowed edges of the room. That is, until her mind caught up to realize what this dangerous being was actually doing.
Blue spell circles, shadows, and flashing lights glowed around them, instantly drawing attention from all sides.
Distracted from his conversation with Courtier Daro, King Baltazar gasped. "What is this? Unhand her!"
Alexan first saw the blue glow in the glass of her champagne flute, her laughter with the former bounty hunters dying in her throat at the strange sight across the ballroom. "...Ray?"
King Kaidan lept into action, casting spells towards them at once. "Guards! Daro!" But none could touch the smirking villain as the pair vanished in a cloud of shadow and blue sparks. "AURELIA!"
