- Eddie POV-
After I knocked, my mind fell silent, waiting to hear her delightful voice call out 'yeah?' or 'come in'. But I got no answer. I nervously knocked a little louder, but still got no response.

I slowly opened the unlocked door and pushed it open. I looked inside to seem the most beautiful and peaceful thing I think I've ever laid eyes on.

There laid Ariel in her bed, sitting up against the head board, reading a Garfield comic book. Her hair was neatly brushed, but slightly messy whilst it laid on her shoulders along with a white blanket. Her face was bare with no makeup, had to be the prettiest I've ever seen her. She doesn't even have to try to be beautiful.

I watched as her pretty lips curled into a smile as she reads the book. I could barely hear her sweet hum of laughter over the sound of the TV as it played Saturday morning cartoons.

I then got the courage to fully step into the room, the door then made a loud creek as I opened it fully. " What is it Steve? Shouldn't you be at-" she started, she then looked up. Her voice cutting off like she had been hit in the stomach.

" Hey." Was all I managed to choke out. " Here, I-I got these for you." I stammered, almost tripping as I walked across her bedroom, gently handing her the bouquet I had bought for her.

She just stared at me, her mouth wide open and variety of expressions flashing over her face.  Her face was first confused, then angry, then sad, then angry again, simply a roller coaster of emotions. I felt the same. I could then feel my heart speed up.

" Guess that other bitch didn't  like these?" She said with a scoff, before she dropped them onto her floor, immediately cold with me as she was obviously hurt.

" Look, Ariel. I-I'm really sorry. I didn't even want to do it, I just did and I'm sorry."

"You know, that-that's the same thing my dad said when he started drinking again, 'I didn't want to , but I did.'" Ariel said, her eyes landing back onto her comic to avoid me.

" Baby,-" I started, my stomach twisting into knots and that feeling in my chest growing, "I'm not your baby, Eddie, Jess is your baby." She stated nonchalantly, the anger in her voice breaking my heart.

" I-" " Why the hell are you here anyway, Eddie? Did she bore you already so you're coming back to me?" She shouted in my face, her voice cracking as she did so.

" No, I'm here to apologize and make up because I care about you." I explained to her think about her feelings. "You? you care about me? You didn't even know where the hell I was at that party, you didn't even care anyway because you were swapping spit with some other girl! I noticed when you ditched me Eddie, I noticed when you weren't around me!" She continued to shout.

"I wasn't swapping spit with some other girl, Ariel! And I didn't ditch you, you ran off to go make out in a closet with Patrick McKinney, I noticed that you were gone and I went to go look for you. I went and I found you with some jock who about to tear your clothes off!" I shouted back at her, my settled anger boiling.

" Yeah I ran off because you weren't paying any mind to me! You didn't fucking care where the hell I was and it's not the first time this happened Eddie." She continued to shout, "What the hell are you talking about?" I asked her, " We were playing beer pong and you just left me! So I went to play either Chrissy, and you I find you fucking around with her! You broke a promise, Eddie." Ariel said, beginning to tear up as Jem and the Holograms began to sing another catchy song on TV.
