"I'm not sure this is necessary…" Suguru said awkwardly, "I appreciate that you three want to apologize for not being around as often but-"
"Suguru, you like the zoo, yeah?" I asked, looking down at our list of ideas, "Maybe we can fit that in too."
"Water Park?!" Satoru excitedly asked.
"It's April. " Shoko rolled her eyes, "Way too early for that."
"One of those parks has heated slides and pools!" Haibara said excitedly, "We could try that?"
"Or we could respect his wishes and-"
"Nanami be cool." Shoko said, rolling her eyes, "C'mon."
Nanami scowled a little, "He's asking us not to go to this extreme. Perhaps we-"
"We could spend a whole day just eating at your favorite places?" I suggested, looking up at Suguru, "C'mon! Play with us!!"
"This is a bit much." He said, rubbing the back of his neck, "I don't think a week of plans just for me is-"
"It's happening, Suguru." Satoru said firmly, pointing at the calendar, "You liked that theme park too last year. Let's do that, yeah?"
The idea came to Shoko a few days after she and I had talked about Suguru over breakfast. What if we had a whole week dedicated to hanging out with him? He hadn't agreed to it, but like… and?
He sighed heavily and sat down on the floor completing our semi-circle, a little smile on his lips. I smiled at him for a moment before writing down some more ideas. I think a small part of him enjoyed having us fuss over him, but I'm sure he didn't want us to see.
"Should we invite the first years?" Haibara hummed happily, putting a sticker onto the paper, "They seem pretty fun."
"Oh good idea!" I grinned, "A whole mess of us? Then if a mission comes up it won't be so bad if some of us have to miss a plan or two."
That night, Shoko and I went and got all the ingredients for a huge sukiyaki feast while the guys played Mario Kart. When we came back, we set everything up in the dorm kitchen. Laughing and singing along with the radio, all of us chopped everything up and got everything ready. Right then, I hoped it felt like home for them as much as it did for me.
Monday:
As the week began, we decided to kick things off with a picnic at the park. Suguru looked surprised as he saw the elaborate spread we'd prepared. The amount of food we brought was absolutely ridiculous. We played frisbee, shared a delicious feast, and laughed until the sun dipped below the horizon.
Tuesday:
On Tuesday, we took Suguru to the amusement park he liked. He had a blast on the roller coasters, and we gorged on cotton candy and ice cream. The sheer joy on his face was priceless. The haunted house somehow scared me anyway, which god only knows why.
Wednesday:
We surprised Suguru by organizing a game night in the common area. Board games, video games, card games, and D&D until none of us could stay awake. It got so loud that Yaga came to scold us, but he ended up staying for a little while and playing some games with us.
Thursday:
We spent the whole day on a long hike. Just being outside together in nature would probably have normally been calming, but instead it was loud and wild. Singing loudly, scaring off anything that lived there, we practically ran the whole way.
Friday:
Friday night, we all dressed up for a fancy dinner at a new restaurant in town. The ambiance, fine dining, and heartfelt toasts were way over the top. We celebrated him, and despite how embarrassing it was for him, we all played it up and ended up laughing so hard we practically got kicked out.
