“Again.” Satoru said.

I held my breath, zipping backwards in time barely a quarter of a second before my strike hit him. The strike hit twice in a row within that quarter of a second, pushing his hand back enough that he actually had to brace himself.

“Perfect.” He praised me, “Again.”

Over and over and over. We'd been at it for days. We created a simulated black flash, my cursed energy hitting twice at the exact same moment. Not as powerful as a true black flash, but it had the same kind of double impact that Yuji Itadori’s energy would do with the addition of extra damage from being in the same spot like a true black flash. Certainly an interesting way for my damage output to increase, but it was exhausting.

“Again.”

Blood and sweat dripped off my chin, the smear across my eyes mixing in as it trailed down from my forehead. My muscles burned with the effort but my energy hadn't come close to giving out yet. As long as I had even a drop of cursed energy, Satoru wasn't going to let me stop.

“Harder this time. The second hit should have twice the force.” He said, keeping his hands up, “If you've hit once you know the second will too.”

I nodded, striking hard at his hand. The cadence of two collisions echoing over and over in the empty training hall. With each burst of power, I honed the skill. The goal was that I did it automatically without thinking with every single strike.

When I was all but drained he crossed his arms, “Now reverse. Exactly 24 minutes. Password is strawberry shortcake.”

I stared at him and he winked. I smirked at him before dragging a fresh smear of blood across my eyes and reversing exactly 24 minutes.

His hand was up expecting a double strike when I said, “Strawberry shortcake.”

He grinned, “Oh I didn't think you'd actually say it!”

I scoffed, “Well don’t make such silly passwords for reversal then.”

“Nah, it's hilarious when you just say some crazy shit out of nowhere!” He laughed, “Makes you sound crazy.”

I swatted his arm before walking over to the bench on the side to pick up my towel and wipe the blood off my face, “I think the double is coming around.” I said, catching my breath a little, “How do you feel about it?”

“I think you're doing great.” He smiled, walking over as well, wiping off his own sweat, “That should really make a serious difference.”

“Now if only I can bust out my stand and use ‘za warudo!’ then I can do anything.” I grinned.

“What did Dio have like… five seconds?” He asked, “Or was it ten?”

“Nah, five seconds you were right the first time.” I said with a nod, “He probably could have done more later though. He was kinda weak when they fought him in part 3.”

“You know way to much about that show.” He shook his head with a chuckle.

Uhh that's ‘cos it's good .” I said, swatting his butt with my towel, “You just don't get it.”

“Does anyone?” He asked.

“I dunno. Probably not.” I laughed.

We talked about JoJo for a few minutes while we cooled down. It was a hell of a workout. Always was with him. He made sure I was fully exhausted every single time, but it always paid off. No wonder all of his students were so excellent.

“How are Hakari and Kirara doing by the way?” I asked, thinking about the third years.

“Well, you know Kinji.” Satoru shrugged, “Raising hell as always. Love that kid. He's great. And Kirara just plays along as usual, although they're not quite as eager to mess with the higher-ups.”
