The Zen'in clan. The most vile of the three major clans, by far. Not saying the Gojo clan are saints, we certainly aren't above all the garbage politics and smarmy bullshit, but at least we don't reject family members for not being able to use techniques. The Zen'in clan wanted so badly to surpass us that they’d buy sorcerers and curse users just to breed more warriors.

I honestly wondered sometimes that if I hadn't been born when I was, if they'd have been able to make a move on the Gojo clan. Naoya, as much as I hated him, was impressive just like his father. Hell, if they hadn't burned Toji so badly they would have had him and Megumi. Megumi himself could have been a major problem if he'd been brainwashed enough.

I sat up in bed, reading the same paragraph like four times in a book as my mind raced. Sarah was passed out, those early months of pregnancy taking it out of her, so I didn't want to wake her up just to stress her out. I just couldn't get my mind off of the Zen'in clan after Kenjaku had managed to rope in two of them to attack us.

When Akie was born, she of course had a bounty put on her. This wasn't new, any time a big shot had a child this kind of thing happened, but of course for my child it was even bigger. On top of that now, my boys were going to have the rarest technique which meant their bounty was going to be astronomical.

I wanted to keep it a secret, but that would never happen. The problem was that word always got out. Always . Twins with the six-eyes wasn't going to stay a secret for long. Sarah was mad that I told Yaga so earlier, but even if we only discussed it between us something could hear us or the phones could be tapped with a cursed ability or anything really. We both already knew we were being watched, especially with how much I harassed and threatened the higher ups. Naobito was one of them for sure, and when they get news he does.

But what would he do when he found out about another six-eyes? I was already enough to keep them in check, but what would this second set do to them? And that's not even mentioning the Kamo clan. They were a lot more sane about the constant power struggle, but it wasn't as if they weren't involved in the conflict at all.

My birth changed the entire structure of the Jujutsu world. Just my existence alone made such an impact that curse users went into hiding the day I was born. As much as I hated the idea, the best thing I could think to do was to get the Gojo clan involved again. Gramps had the connections that could hide Sarah away and keep her safe until the heat died down. Once enough people had failed the attempts would slow, plus she'd be able to fight again even without me around which would keep the babies safe. We just had to get there first. Why'd it have to take so long? Nine months is way too long.

I sighed, closing my book and turning off the bedside lamp. No point in sitting up all night to think about it. Wrapping my arm around Sarah, I pulled her close and kissed her cheek.

“I’ll keep you safe, babydoll.” I whispered, “Promise.”

Pulling at my blindfold, I stood at the top of Tokyo tower just thinking. I'd decided to go and speak with my parents and grandfather about the entire thing. They took the news relatively well, but I had noticed something strange on the way back. It seemed as if the curses I'd just been dealing with pretty often had become a lot more active. Normally that kind of thing only happened after some kind of natural disaster. But nothing had happened recently so it didn't make sense. That is until Sarah mentioned something.

She asked about the Earthquake that had happened in Kumamoto and if the curse activity had fallen down yet from that. I told her there hadn't been an earthquake recently, but then suddenly this morning on the news that there was a 7.0 in Kumamoto on the sixteenth of April. And for some reason I also knew all about it already?
