Are you kidding?

Blaise's room has not been witness to many girls, any actually. He always goes over to their dorms or a broom closet or the room of requirements. So, his roommates have no sense of boundaries, they haven't been accustomed to them.

Kali was in Blaise's lap, straddling him against the headboard. Hands roaming and tongues intertwined, they had been at it for a while. Everytime she tries to get a bit further, he puts a stop to it. He's rather experienced and doesn't know if she can handle it.

Lifting up his shirt a little, her hands were against his abdomen, tracing the edges of his muscles. He twitched under his pants, his cock begging to be set free, but he couldn't give himself the satisfaction.

"Can you take this off?" Kali asked, moving down to kiss his neck and lifting up his shirt even more.

He almost whimpered under her touch, willing to explode right now. "They could come back any minute."

Meeting his eyes, she shook her head and brushed some hair from her eyes. "Wanna go back to my dorm?"

He stared at her for a few beats, trying to get a read on the situation. "Weren't we going to take this slow?"

"We've been practically dating for the whole semester." She shrugged, already ready for him to do whatever dirty fantasies came into his mind.

His morality was at play. Truly, he didn't think they were ready for another step if they haven't even talked about labels. For the first time being a gentleman is coming at a price. "We should talk about this before we continue."

Pushing away from him, he could see Kali shut down. Never did he want to make her insecure, but this is a big step for them and he wants to make sure he doesn't scare her off. He would love to just lay her down and have his way, but that would be too much for the time being.

She got off his lap, getting shy all of a sudden. Her hands intertwined with each other and she bit her lip anxiously. "Did I do something wrong?"

His eyes opened wide before he shook his head rapidly, reaching out to get a bit closer to her. "Merlin, no. I just don't want to rush into this and then regret it."

"I know you've been with way more people than me, prettier girls." She tried to shut up, but words spilled out of her.

This made him scoff. He had been with a lot of girls, but none of them were as beautiful as Kali. "Don't even start comparing yourself to whoever came before because I can't even remember half their names, not even what they look like. None of them have ever made me feel half of what I feel for you."

A slow smile crept onto her face. "What do you feel for me?"

"You are evil." He snickered, rolling his eyes, but thinking about an answer. "Sometimes, when I look at you, my chest physically hurts. Like, my heart stops and continues."

Kali didn't think he was actually going to answer the question, so she stared at him, dumbfounded. Suddenly, her eyes became a bit teary, which she tried to mask by looking down. Blaise, his eyes trailing her every movement, took notice of this.

Grabbing her chin, he lifted her face up, inspecting her expression. "What's wrong, darling?"

She took a gulp of air, so embarrassed that she was crying in front of him after practically begging to shag him. "That is literally the prettiest thing anyone has ever said to me. You always know what to say."

He smiled, taking pride in this. His eyes caught on his desk drawer, where he was keeping a gift for Kali, but now as good a time as any. Maybe he was being reckless, yet he couldn't wait.

Lifting himself from the bed, he reached and pulled out the small box from the drawer, ignoring her curious looks. It was small, wrapped in shiny green paper, which is the only one his mum buys for him.

"This may be too soon, Kali." He started, feeling nervous all of a sudden, something he wasn't accustomed to. "But after talking to you at the astronomy tower that first time, I knew you were special. You have become a pillar in my life and I just can't do anything to risk losing you. So, would you give me the honor of being your boyfriend?"

With a squeal, she was on him, hugging him tight and making him fall back against the wall again. She pressed quick kisses to his whole face, excitement overcoming her senses. He laughed while she did this, but wanted a concrete answer.

"Are you kidding?" She shouted at him, the biggest smile on her face. "Yes!"

He hugged her back, squeezing tight, like she might disappear. "Wait, you need your gift."

This broke her out of her spell and she sat back onto her feet, looking up at him expectantly. There was no point in arguing about wasting money, especially if he is filthy rich. He handed her the box and she ripped the wrapping carefully. Lifting the lid, she peered inside.

It was a gold necklace, one that had a pendant of a little bottle of gin. It seemed to be real gold, the metal cold against her palm as she lifted it up. She looked at him confused, wondering if this was the right gift.

He was expecting this reaction, so he just started explaining. "When we first talked at the Astronomy Tower, you told me that gin works better than whiskey to sleep. That always stuck with me because who would have thought that little Kali Swan would know things like that." He thought the necklace was clever. "It also has that date engraved in the back."

"Blaise," Kali stared at him with her wide eyes, affection written all over them. "This is just beautiful. The fact that you took the time and chose something meaningful is— I just— Thank you so much."

He could tell that she wanted to ask the price, so he beat her to it. "I love spoiling you, so wipe that guilty look off your face so we can celebrate. Let me put it on you first."

She handed him the chain, twisting so he had full access to her neck. Bunching up her hair, she lifted it to avoid any knots. Blaise put on the chain carefully, clasping it with a gentle hand. Before he made her look at him, he planted a soft kiss on the back of her neck, right where her spine started. She shivered and turned towards him.

"Get dressed, darling." He stood up, stretching his body, his shirt lifting a little at the bottom and giving her a peak of his delicious body. "I am taking you out for dinner and then we are breaking the news of our relationship to our friends. Buckle up for a wild time."

She laughed, covering her mouth. "At what time are you picking me up?"

"Five." He replied, the reservation was already made. "The restaurant is pretty formal, so a dress should be nice."

Nodding, she got closer to him, getting on her tiptoes and bending him down to kiss his cheek. "See you in a bit."

With that, she left the room, leaving Blaise in a puddle of his warm face and huge smiles.
