The library was full, everyone studying for their final tests and doing research for projects. There weren't any seats unused, every crevice filled. Even with all the people that were inside, it was fairly silent, just a few murmurs here and there.

Kali tried to concentrate on her project with Carla, but it was difficult when the last Slytherin game of the season was happening right outside. Their professor sprung this paper for the next day without any warning.

They had to do twenty pages talking about the power of ancient runes and their impact in today's wizarding society. Very boring stuff, but this was the last project they would do together, so they savored it to the max.

To make it up to Blaise, she bought him an engraved bracelet with his quidditch number on it. He wouldn't get mad with her for skipping, but she felt like shit. It was a game that she very much wanted to see.

Leaning her head on Kali's shoulder, Carla yawned, a bit too tired for the hour. "I know it's only four, but this is so boring I'm falling asleep."

"No, hey." Kali gave her face a little slap with her hand, smiling at her friend. "We just have this and one final exam next week and we are free women."

"I know." Carla beamed, her eyes filled with nostalgia and hope. "Wow, I feel like crying all of a sudden."

Kali shook her head, her eyes widening in alarm. "Don't do it, Carla. We can cry at graduation." She redirected those feelings that overcame them for the last month. "Are your parents able to come?"

"Dumbledore said no." She grimaced, her smile falling into a frown. "Parents can't come, which I think is unfair."

Kali shrugged, motioning back to the books in front of them. It wasn't like her mum wanted to come to watch her daughter graduate from her school with top grades. Her stone cold stare could transcend letters and time.

They just needed six more pages and they finished, but they felt eternal. The writing was she, but pretty. Kali made sure that the project was perfect, not wanting anything less than a perfect mark. Carla did the research while Kali figured out the wording of the work and wrote it down how it was supposed to sound.

For years they have been working together, so they made a great team. Doing things in tandem was normal for them, especially school things. Carla could read quickly and Kali knew what professors were looking for.

From the library you could hear the screams of the game, people cheering for a team that Kali could not see. She hoped that once they finished the paper, the team was still on the field.

That's why as soon as they signed their names on the cover page and placed the last period, they rushed out of the library like someone was chasing them. Bags in hand and the paper in a folder, they ran to the quidditch pitch, hoping to catch a piece of the game.

To their luck, Slytherin was winning and there were ten minutes left, perfect to catch a bigger lead or find the snitch. Saying sorry and apologetic looks, they managed to find some good seats, ones that gave a clear view of the game.

Blaise hadn't noticed that Kali was able to come see him, too focused on beating Gryffindors and their stupid cheers. His team fixed whatever problem they had last game and flowed perfectly. They were a bit more aggressive than they should be, but that was part of the sport.

Flying through the air, he helped his team score, deciding on being selfless and acting like a captain, instead of taking all of the points for himself. He was so proud that his chest was aching, the same feeling that Kali had plagued him. He was going to miss this so much.

Draco caught his gaze in the air and winked, a small smile on his face, showing how much he was going to miss this too. It's hard leaving all you've known and loved behind, especially when it just started getting better. Yet they understood that Hogwarts wasn't forever, nothing was, but that didn't halt you wishing time would stop so you can enjoy it more.

A strike of luck, his seeker found the snitch, a roar in the air as he held it up. Happily, the whole team rushed to him, clapping his back and giving him little quirks of amusement. Then, they flew to the ground, except Blaise, Draco and Camden.

They stayed in the air for a few seconds, just feeling the rush of playing together for the last time. Staring at each other, they shared watery smiles, not having to say anything. After so many years, they were able to read each other's minds.

Not defined by blood, they were brothers. Loyalty sat in that group like the leader, doing anything to keep that value. There was nothing they wouldn't do for each other, no ask too big.

When they got their fill of the fresh air that breezed through them, they angled their brooms down and got to the patch of grass, being met by a huddle from the team, who were waiting for them.

"That concludes the last game of this semester! Congratulations, Slytherin!" The announcers spoke through the speakers. "We say goodbye to Captain Blaise Zabini and the other graduating players. Draco Malfoy, Camden Webb, Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Cormac Mclaggen. Thank you for playing quidditch with us!" With that he finished, leaving everyone cheering.

The high of winning and winning with his brothers was enough to make Blaise euphoric, he just wished Kali was here to see it. He was in his circle until he heard someone shout his name, a voice recognized anywhere.

Quickly, he turned out, finding Kali running at him, her legs going as fast as she could. He opened his arms, waiting for her. She jumped into his arms, her legs around his waist, one of his arms under her bum, just carrying her and not making any moves to put her down.

"I thought you weren't coming?" He asked, smiling brightly at her as he kissed her face.

She scrunched her features, wanting to talk but he kissed every part of her face. "We were able to finish early. You were so amazing, Blaise."

He chuckled, liking how she talked to him. "Thank you, darling. Our last quidditch party is tonight and you're coming with me."

"I have class tomorrow." She said, her eyes wide and lips pouted.

"I know, but who cares. School's basically over." He wasn't going without her, so she had to go.

With a second of contemplation, she nodded, smiling at him. "Okay." She saw his team from behind him, staring at the captain expectantly. "You have a team to lead. Put me down and we'll get ready at your dorm."

Placing a kiss on her mouth, he put her down on the floor gently and turned to his team. They followed behind him to the locker room, waiting to see what he was going to say on his last game.

Once they were inside, he smiled at them, an expression they hardly saw. "Well, team, this was our last game. We played great this whole season thanks to practice and confidence. Truly, thank you so much for choosing me as captain; it is an experience that I will never forget. Even if we had some mishaps, I hope that I led you to rise above it. For tonight, go celebrate this amazing season and all of the ones you have left. For those who don't have any left, celebrate triple the amount you normally would. No matter what you do after this, you will always be a Slytherin and we will always have each other's backs. Thank you!"

When he finished the locker room erupted in cheers and hugs. Smiles were now flowing freely and the team was in good spirits. Of course, the three best friends took it in, doing everything slowly, just savoring being a Slytherin player for one last time.
