(Harley's POV)

The door slowly opens. "What do you want?" I ask. "You left again, because of me." Madison says closing my door. I stay quiet.

"Your brothers are still my friends because we grew up together." She adds. "I genuinely don't care." "You do though." "Right." "I know how much they mean to you. I'm sorry about everything Harley." She says.

My chest aches with pain, this is a joke right? "Sure you are." I mumble. "I'm sorry and if the way I prove that to you is leaving you alone then that's what I'll do." She replies.

I look into her eyes, don't leave me alone. "No more pettiness, no more fights." She adds, "Kay." I mutter.

"Just don't be mad at your bothers, be mad at me." She says. "I'm no- Okay." I cut myself off. What am I doing? "Goodbye Marley." She smiles patting him.

My heart breaks a little considering how she's saying goodbye for the last time to her own dog. I mean Marley's mine but she's a mom to him, that's the same with me and her dog Presley.

She kisses the golden retriever on his forehead and smiles at me. She walks out. She's gone, gone forever. I hear the front door shut.

I run downstair to try save everything. Why am I doing this? I love her and I just let her go?

"Madison!" I shout hoping she'd hear. Nothing. I slam my fist against the door filled with frustration and confusion.

I lean against the door and fall time, I place my face in my hands. "Harley?" Chris says. "What." I say falling slowly down. "Are you okay?" He asks. "She's gone Chris." "She'll be back." "How do you know that?" "Because it's Madley." He smirks. This kid.

He walks away and I get up. I drag myself up the stairs and just collapse onto the bed. Madison's everything to me and I just let her slip through my fingers like that?

(Madison's POV)

"It's not your fault." My sister says as I'm driving. "Really? Not my fault? After she found me in the same bed as my ex?" I reply. "Well if I'm going to be honest it's both your faults." "How?" "Because one, Harley never let you explain and two, you really shouldn't be drinking with your ex even if you did nothing."

"Thanks for the advice Nessa, this is going to help me win her back!" I say sarcastically. "Stop." She says. I ignore her and drive to her apartment to drop her off. "Hey Mads?" Nessa says as we arrive. "Yeah?" I reply. "Tara's New Year's party, do you want to come?" "Sure." I smile. We say our byes and right as I'm about to drive I get a text.

END OF CONVERSATION

What are the odds of that? I heart the message and drive my tired ass home. I pull into my driveway and walk through my door to be greeted by Presley. "I'm sorry Pres." I pout patting him. "Mom won't be here anymore." I add. He looks at me in a- Uh- Sad way? "Come on." I say directing him to the bedroom.

He jumps up onto the white sheets and lays down ready for bed. I close my bedroom door and walk into the bathroom. I shower then change into my pyjamas, I lay on my bed and try to sleep but I just can't. My head keeps reminding its self of that night. My head pounding at the thought.
