Winter Sunshine

Drunken Sailor.

Both Savannah and Loki were exhausted. They had spent the better part of the day battling evil leprechauns, mutant rabbits, and a rogue guinea-pig.

Laugh, if you will, but it was hard to fight the villain if it looked like a chair.

Or an old lady.

God save your souls if it was an old lady.

Anyway, they were tired, and sweaty.

Well, Savannah was sweaty. Loki never sweated.

To help you understand how tired they were, I'll tell you this.

Their conversation did not have the word sexy in it once.

While the Avengers searched for them, they were in a bar, getting shit-faced.

Loki had conjured up some Asgardian ale, and damn, it was good.

The god had consumed about three kegs, by now, and was wasted.

It was funny, actually. He was standing on a table, crooning the words to a weird mash-up of Drunken Sailor, and Livin' la vida loca, when Savannah threw her shoe at his head.

There was no actual reason for it, but she was bored. He caught it, even though he was too drunk to come up with a witty remark.

'I'm such a boss. A bossy, boss boss. With added boss. This special boss offer comes with boss back guarantee.' Loki was slurring now, and his words made little sense.

Then he started laughing hard enough to fall off of his table.

'Hey, Savannah.'

'Savannah?'

'Savannah?'

'What?'

'Hi.'

Savannah threw her other shoe at his head, and he turned it into a kitten, freezing the illusion in mid-air, before saying-

'No, wait, I'm allergic to adorableness.'

He then let the kitten hit his face.

'You fool, Loki.'

'I do what I want.'

Savannah reached down to throw something at him, but she had no shoes left.

'Livin' la vida Loki. He will wear you out, livin' la vida Loki.

'Shut up, Loki.'

'Give us a kiss.'

She briefly considered it, before Loki said-

'Everybody do the flop!'

Then Loki fell flat on his face.
