A/N: To quote Will I Am, this story is a shit; faeces. He actually said 'This beat is a shit', but it made me laugh, and it was an accurate description of how I feel about this. From 'The Hardest Ever.'

Loki explained, patiently all that had happened, word for word, until he reached the mirror part.

'Wait a second, Savannah, I want to show you something.' He reached into her mind, and projected what had happened, up to the part where he left her in the bathroom, and then switched to his mind.'I'm not sure what happened. I think your powers did something to the mirror, but this is how I see you. You are beautiful.'

Savannah gasped at what Loki was showing her. Her skin was tinged light blue, and was glowing. Her eyes were a bright green, and her hair had grown. It was halfway down her back, and reminded her of a raven's wings. It was irridescent, and so black, it looked blue. The air around her was sparkling, and there was a faint disturbance, around her shoulders, which made it look like she had wings.

'Loki?'

'Yes?'

'You've fought with us before, how do you not know what I look like when I've ... transformed?'

'Did you not know, pet? You are invisible when you fight, because you don't want us to see you.'

'Thank you, fo-'

'There is no need to thank me.'

'Loki?'

'Yes?'

'Why did my thoughts cut out like that?'

'I think you turn invisible, and block yourself from reflective surfaces, because of what the men did to you. You associated your powers with bad, and told yourself you were ugly. It is probably why when you first changed, I could hold you, without burning myself, but once you had regressed, you changed your skin to protect yourself. I believe that you can't change when you are overemotional, because it reminds you too much of what happened to you.'

'I regressed?'

'You could remember things when you first changed, but once you saw your reflection, you didn't even recognise me. Would you mind if I used magic to discover what you saw?'

'No, not at all.'

Loki was of Asgard, and burdened with glorious purpose. He was a god, you dull creature, and did not flinch. Ever. So when he saw Savannah's reflection, he did not even blink once. He blinked twice. Her reflection was horrific. If Loki had seen Harry Potter, perhaps he would have likened it to a terrifying, real-life Dementor. Instead, he cringed (inwardly) at the horrific apparition.

'Savannah, do you always forget what happens to you after you ...change?'

'No, why?'

'I think your mind makes you lose all memory, if you've seen your reflection.'

'Why?'

'Because your powers distort reality. Your mental block means that your mind changes things, to suit its version of reality. It is not dissimilar to an optical illusion, except your mind is talented enough to force the illusion into existence.'

'What does my reflection look like?'

'I'd rather not show you.'

'That bad?'

'Worse.'

'Oh.'

'Savannah?'

'Yes?'

'I need to go and speak to the rest of the Avengers, and I advise you sleep, because form-shifting is quite tiring.'

'Do you mean shape-shifting?'

'No. Shape-shifting is turning into something entirely different. Form-shifting, while not as catchy, is used to describe turning into a different version of yourself. It is like changing your hair length, eye colour, or even gender. It is you, not an impression of something or someone else.'

'Oh.'

'It is rather complicated, come to think of it, but you need to rest. I shall return soon.'

'm'kay, Loki'

'Sweet dreams, child.'

'I'm twenty-three.'

'And I'm several thousand years old. You are a child to me, Savannah.'

'You can shush.'

'Get some rest.'

'Yes mummy.'

'Good girl.'

The Avengers were surprised, to say the least, when they heard what Loki had discovered. Tony was sceptical, but he was sceptical with anything to do with Loki.

'What do you think we should do?' Natasha asked.

'I think we should keep a watch out for her safety. She is the strongest person on the team, but she is also the most vulnerable. Tony, can you get JARVIS to destroy all mirrors if we're battling?'

'Yes, but-'

'Good, make sure that it is a frequency which won't affect the rest of us, and I will freeze any bodies of water that might act as a mirror.'

'Why do you care about her so much, anyway?' Clint asked.

'Because, she is intelligent, and I can relate to her. She trusts me, and she is interesting.'

'That isn't a good enough answer, Reindeer Games.' Tony was being miserable.

'Thor is the only one on this team who has reason to trust me. Savannah trusts me, and she listens. Is that all?' Loki had teleported before they could answer.

'I don't like him.' Tony said.

A/N: I'm sorry about the ending, but the music is calling me. Peace.
