As they fought side by side, they were unstoppable. Each was the other's eyes, the other's sword. Magical blasts intermingled, eradicating the enemy. Before the other Avengers had even arrived, Savannah and Loki had destroyed them all.

Except one.

Tony arrived on the scene, and the creature lifted two arms, and pointed one towards Tony, and one towards Savannah. She didn't see, but Loki did. He pushed her out of the way, and was hit by the purple blast.

The creature burnt alive.

Savannah didn't like people hurting her friends.

She dropped down to Loki's side, and cradled his head in her lap, stroking his hair, and crying softly.

He wasn't breathing.

She teleported them to her room, and tried to heal him, like she'd done with the hospital staff. It wasn't working, and Savannah wanted to scream. His eyes snapped open, and she nearly collapsed in relief.

But there was something wrong with his eyes.

Had they always been so pale?

He sat up, and pushed Savannah aside.

'Where is he?' He asked.

'Where is who?'

'Tony, of course.'

Something was wrong.

Loki never called Tony Tony. It was always Stark.

'Are you okay, Loki?'

'Yes, I'm fine. Never better. Where is he?'

'In his room.'

And Loki was gone.

About ten minutes later, Tony came rushing into her room, breathless and flushed. He locked the door behind him, and glared at Savannah.

'What did you do to him?'

'To who?'

'Loki, of course.'

'Nothing.'

'So why did he try to kiss me?'
