A/N: Told you I'd update.

Savannah awoke in a hospital bed, again, and sighed. There had been a Doombot invasion, and she could remember little else. What had happened? She turned her head, slowly, and once again, Loki was next to her. Deja vu much? Her eyes had not focussed properly, and when they did, she gasped in horror. The god was swathed in sterile bandages, which were already stained with blood. He was turned towards her, and the skin on his face was scarred badly, as if it had been burnt by acid. His legs were definitely broken, and his chest looked as if a few ribs had been snapped. His breathing was unsteady, and it sounded painful, and there were long scratches running down his face, as if he had been mauled by a feral creature. He was immortal. What could have caused him this much damage?

She felt fine, a little weak maybe, but she could walk. Gradually, she made her way out of the hospital ward, but then thought better of it. She dragged a chair up to Loki's bed, and took his hand gently, smoothing out his hair with as much care as she could muster.

'Loki?' She whispered, her voice hoarse. 'What happened to you?'

She glanced up at the heart-rate monitor, and though she was unsure of what a god's heart speed should look like, she was pretty sure it shouldn't be that irregular. She closed her eyes, and fell asleep.

'JARVIS, is Savannah up yet?'

Yes, and no, sir.

'What's she doing?'

Miss Winters appears to be holding Loki's hand.

'What! Why?'

She also seems to be sleeping.

Tony rushed into the hospital room -they had one installed in the tower, and started shouting.Loudly.

'What is it, Tony? What happened?'

'-Dangerous, his fault you're in here in the first pla-' Tony was cut off by Savannah slapping him. For someone who had been unconscious not ten minutes prior, she really did move quickly.

'Ow.'

'Concentrate, Tony. What happened?'

'We were fighting the Doombots, and winning, when you collapsed mid-air. You started falling, and I was coming towards you, when Loki got there, and caught you. He held you for a bit, and then both of you disappeared. He appeared again, told us you were in trouble, and that we needed to hurry back to the tower, and then he blew up all the bots, and vanished again. We got to here, and you were both covered in blood and unconscious.'

'What happened to him?'

'Dunno, must've been pretty powerful.'

'Indeed.' They both jumped, and Savannah exclaimed happily-

'Oh Loki, you're awake. Thank goodness! I was so worried, what happened to you?'

'I'll explain later. I need to rest now, and so do you.'

'If you insist.'

'I do.' Tony said.

'As do I.' Loki added.

'Are you two ganging up on me? Ugh!'

'Stark?'

'Yes?'

'Why is one side of your face red?'

'Because I slapped him.' Savannah said.

Loki smirked.
