The Avengers meeting still excluded Savannah, which she didn't like, but that was life. Loki explained, patiently, that she was still weak, and that it was just a meeting. Tony told her that she didn't have sit there, listening to Fury blab about protocol, while doing his freaky one-eyed stare, and Steve said that since Loki had healed faster, he was able to attend. She still didn't agree, but there was no point kicking up a fight, and she was pretty tired.
Loki limped into the meeting room. Thor kept glancing up at him worriedly, until Loki gave him a death glare that only little brothers could manage. Tony was a genius billionaire playboy philanthropist, but he had no tact whatsoever.
'What the fuck happened to you?' Loki glared at him, while the Avengers sighed in unison.
'What do you mean, Stark?'
'You know what I mean. What could possibly be strong enough to do this to you?'
'How has it got anything to do with you?'
'Fine, but at least tell us what happened after Savannah collapsed.'
'Stark, do you know what Savannah can do?'
'No.'
'That is a shame.'
'Stop evading our questions.'
'Your questions.'
'Shut-up and tell us.'
'Which do you wish me to do? I cannot do both.'
'Both of what?'
'Should I shut-up, or tell you?'
'Stop being a stubborn bastard.'
'I could say the same to you.'
The Avengers were watching this intercourse with vague amusement, which soon faded into annoyance.
'Just tell us, already.' Clint said.
'Savannah caught sight of herself in a car's wing mirror.' Loki glared at Tony.
'What?' He protested.
'I was under the impression that you were competent enough to destroy all mirrors within a five mile radius of our fight-zone. Clearly you are not.'
'Sorry, I thought I ha-'
'Now is not the time for apologies, we must hear my brother's explanation.' Thor boomed.
Loki continued. 'Her reflection caused her to regress, and she crumpled mid-air, because of the shock. At this stage, she had forgotten everything, so, when I caught her, she did not recognise me, and perceived me as a threat. She did all that was in her power to get me to release her. I knew that I could not, that she was a danger to herself, and others, so I held on. We teleported to my bed-chambers, and I sent a clone to eradicate Doom's machines, and to warn you to return soon.'
'Wait, 'Vannah did that to you?'
'Indeed.'
'Shit.'
'If you need me, I will be comforting Savannah; she is having yet another night-mare.'
'Brother, why are you blue?'
'Because I can.' Loki snapped, and swept out of the room. He would have, anyway, but his legs hurt too much, so he settled for dramatic limping.
