Habituated to him

She exhaled heavily in cold air and smog escaped her mouth. He glanced at her affectionately before looking ahead and his thumb gently caressed her wrist. They were taking a stroll on quiet roads.
Her heart suddenly ached by those painful thoughts of her one sided love but it was just for a moment when she instantly shook her head and got rid of those thoughts.
She had started new and it was going well. She was determined not to let the past haunt her and make her more miserable.
Jack was enjoying every moment to its best. He couldn't be more happy, it was like he was in dream and he wished if it was  dream, he wouldn't ever wake up from it. She was with him, he was on cloud nine.
Jiah:"So it was me all along ?"
She asked, out of nowhere making him look at her before he shrugged with a small smile.
Jack:"Umm hmm. Always."
Jiah:"Why didn't you move on ?"
He stopped walking and she did the same before he turned towards her and his smile deepened even more.
Jack:"I was happy this way."
Jiah(frowning):"Happy ? You were happy in this one sided love ?"
Jack:"I was. Even though it was hurtful I just....felt contended whenever I spent time with you...whenever I saw you smiling....whenever you laughed. It was.....enough for me."
She chuckled making him raise a brow.
Jack:"What ?"
Jiah:"You know it just feels strange."
Jack:"Strange ?"
Jiah:"To see you talking like a Romeo."
He laughed. It was true, he was a jolly type who always made them laugh and him being so serious must be strange for her.
Jack:"Well...you'll see my many new sides. Be prepared."
He teased and she tilted her head.
Jiah:"For example ?"
Jack(taking a step closer):"For example.....my romantic side.....or maybe a bit.....naughty side."
He muttered huskily and her cheeks heated up before she stepped on his foot making him hiss.
Jack:"Ouch."
Jiah(smiling sarcastically):"I am not that easy Mr. I can be quite troublesome. Don't try to flirt with me."
Jack:"Don't worry. I have been handling your troublesome @ss almost all my life, I can do that now as well.... especially now that I have all the rights."
He, however resumed his flirting, well he was speaking truth tho he had almost lifetime experience in handling her. She could be br@t at times and he had uncountable experiences of that.
She scoffed.
Jiah:"You are one cocky j€rk."
There came her moodswings.
He chuckled and back hugged her.
Jack:"Your J€rk."
She rolled her eyes and wiggled out of his grip before walking ahead. He jogged to catch up with her and held her hand, Interwining her fingers with his, while a heartfelt smile adorned his lips.
Jack:"C'mon babe, don't be sulky. Do you want Ice Cream ?"
She almost glared at him.
Jiah:"Yah ! Don't call me babe, it sounds cringy."
Jack:"Oh is it so ? Then what should I call you........babe ?"
Jiah:"Jack ~ call me anything but not babe."
Jack:"Babe ! Babe ! Jiah babe !"
She gritted her teeth and sl@pped his shoulder making him laugh out loud.

Next day
The atmosphere of room was grim. Everyone was distressed. While one figure was unconscious.
Mrs Jeon (caressing Jungkook's head):"How's he now ?"
She asked in pain when doctor was done checking on him.
Doctor Lee(sighing):"His fever isn't coming down Mrs Jeon. I have given him injection. Let's wait a bit more. If still nothing happens, it'll be better to admit him in hospital."
Mrs Jeon sobbed and clasped Jungkook's burning hand into hers, while sitting beside him.
Mr Jeon also took off his glasses and wiped wet corners of his blo*odshot eyes. His heart was in pain, after seeing his only son like that. They had never imagined one day they would see Jungkook like that and they would be so helpless.
Taehyung patted Mr Jeon's shoulder while his own condition wasn't good. He was so much worried now. Last night when he woke up from his slumber he couldn't find Jungkook in the room. He panicked and ran around the house. There was a hustle everywhere. He ordered all servants to search for Jungkook and they finally found him, unconsciously sitting on the cold floor of art room. Since then he hadn't come back to consciousness.
Jimin(entering in the room):"Here, medicines."
He handed over the medicines to doctor Lee and Doctor Lee started filling the injection. Taehyung looked at Jimin's distressed state and sighed before making his way to him.
Taehyung:"Jimin ah go home."
Jimin:"What ? I can't leave Jungkook alone."
Taehyung:"You can't leave Sooah alone too. She needs you."
Jimin:"But-"
Mr Jeon:"Taehyung is right, Jimin. Go home. We are with Jungkook, Don't leave Sooah alone, especially not in this condition."
He said seriously.
Jimin bit his lower lip and nodded. Yesterday he found out Sooah was expecting. They couldn't be more happy. Jimin was high in ecstasy however as soon as he found out about Jungkook's condition, his heart became heavy and worried.
He didn't wait and came to see Jungkook. By that time Mr and Mrs Jeon had also arrived. Sooah wanted to come but Jimin told her to rest and she also agreed to stay back bcz she was still feeling nauseous.
Looking at Jungkook for one last time, Jimin slowly made his way out of the room. However his heart prayed for his brother like friend to get fine as soon as possible.
Mrs Jeon looked at Mr Jeon and sobbed even more.
Mrs Jeon:"Please so something. Please honey do something. I can't see my son like this."
He pressed his lips in a thin line out of agony and stepped forward enveloping her figure in his warm embrace.

Mr Shin (otp):"How are you doing ?"
He asked in his usual voice and there was a silence of few minutes before she replied.
Jiah(otp):"Fine."
He hummed and another silence followed.
Jiah:"What about you ?"
Mr Shin:"Good."
She cleared her throat and shifted a little on her place.
Mr Shin:"I found out.... everything."
He said and she bit her lower lip, yes Mrs shin informed her that she had told truth to Mr shin except certain things that were better hidden.
Jiah:"I know."
Mr Shin (sighing):"Take care of yourself."
Her eyes welled up a little but she gulped the lump in her throat to keep tears at bay.
Jiah:"Hmm."
Mr Shin:"Don't go hard on yourself, everything will be okay."
He said, this time a little softly and a tear slipped from her eye which she wiped quickly and hummed once again.
Mr Shin:"If you.....if you need anything tell me. I am relieved....that you're moving on."
Jiah:"Don't worry about that. I am.... seriously moving on."
She almost whispered and he exhaled.
Their conversation was brief and to the point.....but it felt good to them.

You looked out of the window and cold breeze brushed past you making you smile slightly however your smile shrank when you remembered something. You were going back from university and he wasn't the one to pick you up like usual. And strangely.....it left you with an empty feeling.
Maybe he had made you really habituated to himself.
However, as soon as you realized that you were thinking about him you slightly shook your head to stop those thoughts and exhaled softly.
Of course it was kinda normal to remember those things sometimes, you had spent days with him, but you were sure of one thing you didn't have any feelings for him..........well....you really didn't have any hard feelings for him....... yet.
You were however, somehow contended and happy about Jiah that she was trying to move on. Mrs shin still hadn't told you about d√ugs thingy, and no one knew about Jiah and Jack's relationship yet. But she did tell you that Jiah is moving on and it made you relieved.
You hoped you'd be able to talk to Jiah, you were still hesitant about calling her, a little afraid what if she hated you now ?......you remembered the dejected look he gave you at new year's eve party. You could never forget that and you didn't even blame her for that.
