~{Chapter 87}~*This chapter is about an epic battle in *National🏙City* The Superfriends face an enemy who threatens to blow up the entire "city" until he gets what he wants in the next "24 hours". So, Brainy decides to make the ultimate sacrifice by defusing the *bomb💣* but before he leaves Dreamer🌀asks Brainy if he sees a bright "future" with her. If sacrificing himself to save everyone in the city including, her💙is really worth the risk? I hope you like it, Enjoy!*

*Late at night🌃, in the city*
*11:58 p.m.*
Brainy and Nia were fast asleep in bed together💚💙as she was tossing and turning in fearfully her sleep😴💤. In her dream✨, Nia was having visions🌌of a "ticking" time⏲️bomb💣, and then that nightmare stopped... she was inside the *dream🌀realm* but not in the forest she was somewhere else. A cemetery as ravens and spiders🕷️and then lightning⚡️struck for dramatic effect as she gasped landed on the ground and saw a tombstone🪦that said: "Querl Brainy Dox". She screamed in tears💦of sadness😭and despair😰that he was going to "die" soon and that thought💭scared😰her! Then, Nia gasped awake from her dream in bed panting in fear of what she just foresaw in her vision and wasn't sure if she could prevent it from coming "true". Which woke Brainy up as he said. "Nia, what's wrong? Was it a bad dream? What did you see?..." He asked his girlfriend multiple questions with concern. "I-I... uh," Nia said softly in fear about to tell him what she saw but got interrupted by an explosion💥outside their window🪟. Then, they got a text message💬from Kara that she needed backup right now downtown🏙in the "city" facing a powerful enemy with John and Alex. "We should go," Brainy said thinking that they should go and help the others. "Yeah," Nia said softly in agreement still feeling a little shaken up by her *dream🌀vision🌌* but she put on a brave face ready to fight beside her friends, and hoped that nothing bad happened tonight🌃. Then, they suited up ready for action!
During the fight, the bad guy set up a time bomb💣device in the middle of the street when the "Superfriends" were down and he rigged it to *explode* to destroy "National🏙City" and all the people in it. Then, Dreamer🌀flashbacked✨to her dream about a "time bomb" and at that moment it was the same one. This means that this is all connected to Brainy's "death". "This is just like in my dream. It's all coming together!" She said softly thinking💭to herself💙sadly. "You have 5 hours until I blow a hole🕳️in your beloved city! I suggest you get your prays in order." Derek Dawson said evilly telling the heroes how much time they have left until he blows up their city. Then, he left flying up into the air💨with his jet pack for dramatic effect. But he'll be back! So, they retreated heading back to headquarters meaning the *Tower* to come up with a plan before the "5 hours" were up and had to think fast before it was too late. But Brainy already had a plan in mind but they weren't going to like it😅. Especially, Nia.

*Back at the Tower*
*12:27 a.m.*
They all gathered in the *Tower Lab* to come up with a plan to stop the bomb from going off and destroying the whole city and everyone in it... by making an device to prevent that from happening. Except for Dreamer who was trying to dream up a plan of her own to prevent Brainy from dying merging with the "time bomb" with his coluan powers. But she ended up dreaming of her future✨with Brainy if he didn't do it. "I have a plan but you're not going to like it." Brainy said nervously. "Well, what is it?" Kara asked. Brainy sighed sadly and said. "Well, let's just say that it involves "me" merging with the device absorbing the blast from the explosion. I'm the only one who can do it! It has to me," Brainy said logically stating the facts of his plan and why it should be him who makes the "ultimate sacrifice" for the team and the city🏙. Kara and the others gasped in shock in fear of losing "Brainy" one of their closest friends and couldn't stand the thought of losing him but they hate to admit it... he is right. "You know if you're planning on sacrificing yourself again to save us and everyone in the city. Even if it's a "death wish". Nia deserves to know the truth," Lena suggested wisely. Brainy nodded with a sad look and went to tell Nia the *bad news* that he had to make the ultimate sacrifice. Dreamer🌀was on the balcony gazing at the stars✨in the night🌃sky of the "city" while sighing sadly as she heard footsteps👣approaching her. And knew that it was Brainy who was about to tell her that he had to *die* to save everyone including her. "You don't have to tell your plan cause I already know. Thanks to my dreams! You're planning on sacrificing yourself in merging with the bomb to protect everyone else except for yourself. Am I wrong?" Nia said softly and then crossed her arms turning around looking at Brainy and asking him the obvious question if she was right. He sighed. "No, you're not wrong. Nia, that is exactly what I'm planning on doing." Brainy said softly looking her in the eye and admitting the "honest" truth*. "No! Brainy, Absolutely not. You are not sacrificing yourself to save me and the whole city!" Dreamer said loudly refusing to let her boyfriend die even if it was to save the day and everyone. But that isn't an option. "I know Nia, it's not ideal but I'm the only one who can do it? Besides, if I don't do this thousands of innocent people will die. And I would rather it is me than "You". Cause I already lived and you haven't. So, I'm doing this for you and this is my decision so, please respect that." Brainy said.

"Look at me. Brainy, Do you see a future with me? Cause it's all I see." Dreamer asked softly wrapping her arms around his neck and looking deeply into his bright✨, brilliant eyes of the obvious that she foresaw a "possible future🌌" of them being "happy" together💚💙in the *21st century* of married💍 with two kids🩵💚in her "dream." Because she knew it in her heart💙. "I've seen it since the second I first laid eyes on you. Nia Nal, but I have to do this. In order to keep you and our friends safe," Brainy said romantically looking directly into her eyes and speaking the honest "truth" to protect the people he loves the most. Especially, his girlfriend💙and the love❤️of his life! But Nia refused to lose him as she said out loud dramatically. "Then, don't go on a suicide mission!" Dreamer🌀said loudly refusing to lose him cause of how much she loved him with all of her heart. Brainy smiled understanding Nia's reaction. "I love...." Nia said softly about to burst into tears about to Sa the "L" word to him but he stopped feeling the same way and said. "I know Nia, I do too. And I promise you that our love will live on forever in our hearts and not even death can tear us apart." Brainy said looking deeply into Nia's eyes. Meaning every word that he said out of "love". Then, he leaned in kissing Nia in keeping that promise to always be with her no matter what. Even in "death" itself!

*4 hour later, the moment of truth*
*5:00 a.m.*
The Superfriends all gathered in the streets downtown saying their goodbyes to Brainy as did Nia. He immediately walked up to the bomb device and then placed his hands on it and felt his *AI plate* as he began to glitch out a bit. Dreamer gasped panting in fear unable to handle this... then she closed her eyes for a split second and had a vision of Brainy's death again and felt it. At that moment Nia knew she couldn't possibly let him die. So, she did what any Woman would do for the love of their life! And that's by doing something "crazy" and reckless in joining them so, that she wouldn't be miserable without Brainy in her life. So, she quickly ran to the time bomb placed her hands on it, and screaming in pain pushing with all her might! Which shocked Brainy as he said. "Dreamer, what are you doing? This is my sacrifice not yours. Please, leave! You can't die too. I won't let you," Brainy said worriedly asking her to leave cause this was his burden to bere not hers. "No, I'm not leaving you. I'm all in! I'm not going to let you die alone. If you die I do! Besides, we're in this together!" Dreamer🌀said optimistically wanting to be by his side til the very end. He smiled. "Okay, Together." he💚said. "Together forever!" she💙said. Brainy and Nia screamed out loud pushing with all their strength with their combined powers of technology🤖& dreams🌀as they both "glowed" blue💙and green💚trying to diffuse the time bomb💣from destroying everyone in the city! Then, They both landed on the ground when the bomb was refused and no one got hurt.

"Are you okay?" Brainy said with concern about Nia. Like always! "Yeah, I'm fine. That just took a lot out of me," Nia answered taking his hand and helping her as they hugged each other dearly not wanting to let go and just to stay like this for *hours*. So, They both turned out to be "okay" and everything worked out in the end... cause no one died as the bomb's countdown rang out. Just like the city was saved once again by the "Superfriends". Usually, it was Supergirl who "always" saves the day🌇or night🌃but this time it was Dreamer🌀& Brainiac-5 the alien *power💥couple❤️*. And the future looks bright for them as far as Nia can see😉!
