Standing up for Nia!

~{Chapter 20}~*this chapter is about when Nia has a bad experience at her favorite clothing store...

Nia arrives at her apartment running into her bedroom and slams the door
As she lay down in bed, headfirst crying while wrapping herself in her bedsheets
over what happened today...

Brainy walked into Nia's apartment to spend the day with her...
As he heard the sound of her crying and whimpering in her room.
And knocks on her door. When she heard an knock on her bedroom door
She answered with "GO AWAY! And leave me alone to cry in silence." She said sadly in an depressed voice.

Brainy sighed as he didn't want her to cry alone.
As he used his powers on the door to unlock it.
And walked in while hearing Nia whimpering in sadness
Covered under her bedsheets...

"Nia," he said softly.

"Go away, Brainy. I know you're just here to cheer me up...
And that's very sweet of you. But I'm not really in the mood.
Just leave please". Nia said sadly from underneath her bedsheets.

"Are you ok?" Brainy asked. As he sat on Nia's bed.

"Do I look ok to you?!" Nia said upset while showing him for her face
From under the covers.
"Sorry, Wrong choice of words...
My bad." He said apologetic.

"You're forgiven," she replied softly.

"Just Tell me what happened and what's wrong?" He asked worriedly about his girlfriend.
Wanting to help her and to make Nia smile again!
Brainy added. "Something obvious happened to you today... To make you this
Sad and depressed... or you wouldn't be like this?" He stated while sensing her emotions and
Behavior.

"Yeah, you're right." Nia said as she got out from under the covers and sat beside Brainy to tell him what
today that caused her so much sadness. And feeling depressed...
Nia added. "They were mean to me. Brainy," she said sadly in tears.
"They were mean to you?" Brainy questioned as his eyes widened in shock that someone
would be mean to her. Nia nodded. As he walked with Nia out of her place and walked to the store employees
who were mean to her?  To make them apologize for Hurting Nia like that...

"People are looking at me... Brainy," she said sadly with a nervous look.
"They're not looking at you." he paused
He added. "They're looking at me... After all, I'm the one with the green skin." Brainy said.

"And you're not afraid anymore?" she asked.
"Negative, I've gotten over that a long time ago..." he replied.
"Which is why I wanna make sure you're comfortable in your own skin and appearance.
To not fear or to be judged for who you are..." Brainy said inspirational words.

Nia began twirling and fiddling with her hair.
And Brainy noticed that...
As they stopped and made to the store
"Ok, stop fiddling with your hair.
It's gonna be ok. we're here! Just leave the talking to me.
Nia." He said as they walked into the place that made fun of Nia
For being half-human.

Brainy added. "You're very beautiful, Nia. when you're not fiddling with your hair." He said lovely.
"Oh, Brainy. Stop." Nia said while blushing with a smile. "There's that smile..." he said lovely.
And the person who was mean to Nia about her being half-human. Immediately apologized to her.
"You feeling better now? Nia Nal." He asked sweetly.
"Yes, I am now. Thanks to you. Brainy" Nia said, thankful for what he did for her.

"I'm glad! and Of course, Nia. It's the least I could do for you." Brainy said Lovely while looking into her eyes.
He added. "After all, you stood up for me where we first met At that pizza place 3 years ago...
when my image inducer got hacked." He said remembering when he first met Nia Nal.
As she smiled thinking back to that day too. And she didn't think that he would still remember that
About all these years of knowing her...

"Wow, I can't believe you still remember that." Nia said nervously with a smile.
As Brainy smiled back at her and said. "Of course, I remember. How could I possibly forget my first meeting with you.
the most incredible and powerful woman in the history of time. My Nia Nal." Brainy said romantically to her.

"Oh, Querl Dox." She said as she kissed his lips.
As he kissed her back lovely while holding her up in his arms.
