CHAPTER THIRTY TWO.
MONACO.

Dariyah walked out of the Monaco Airport. She removed her shades and watched the people surrounding her.

"Thought you were never going to come." A voiced pulled her out of thoughts. "I wasn't, but your little girlfriend basically threatened me, so I didn't have much choice." She looked at the Dutch man walking towards her.

"Haha. Very funny. She isn't my girlfriend." Max raised his arms to hug his friend. "Atleast not yet." Dariyah laughed at his words.

"Riyah!" Dariyah and Max pulled away after hearing a familiar and loud voice. Dariyah stepped back by the force of being hugged tight by her friend.

"Missed you too, Lav." Dariyah asked for help with her eyes to Max, who just stuck his tongue out. "You would have to miss me forever if you don't let go of me this second." Dariyah struggled to breathe.

"Oh shit, sorry." Lavina pulled away yet had her arm slung over Dariyah's shoulder. "Where's Sneha?" Lavina turned back to Max.

"She's at my house." Max started to panic as he noticed the surprised looks on the girls' faces. "Well— I just bought a house. It's big— enough for all of you girls. Lando and Rishi are there as well. Carlos would be there by tonight."

"Relax, Max. We knew. We were just teasing. You look cute flustered." Lavina laughed. Dariyah chuckled lightly, a nervous look on her face which didn't go unnoticed by the RedBull Driver.

"Charles won't be joining us." Max pursed his lips. "Why?" Dariyah asked without even wasting a second.

"I don't know. You can go and ask him yourself if you want to." Max shrugged his shoulders.

"Why should I?" Dariyah asked, pretending to not care.

"Do you seriously think we didn't know about the little fight you guys had few weeks ago at your apartment?" Lavina scoffed.

"How did you guys know?" Dariyah asked alarmed.

"Me and the boys were the ones who pushed him to go to your house. We expected him to comeback looking happy, it was the opposite. So, we figured you guys fought." Max answered. "What happened between you two?" Lavina asked, worriedly.

"How was he after coming back?" Dariyah couldn't stop herself from asking.

"Bad. On a scale of 1 to 10, I'd say a solid 20. He hasn't even stepped out of his house ever since. I doubt there's even food left in his house and he also isn't a good cook. So, we're all really worried." Max explained with a sad sigh, glancing at Dariyah to observe her reaction. Lavina and Max exchanged slight smirks after noticing Dariyah's worried look, fiddling with her necklace once again.

"Yeah, Lando said that he doesn't even open his door to anyone. We're all really worried. The race is this weekend as well. If he doesn't get his head right, he'd be in huge trouble. Am I not right, Max?" Lavina locked her eyes with Max, who nodded his head in agreement.

"Where is he?"

That was all it took for Lavina and Max to mentally high-five each other for achieving their task.

Dariyah didn't waste time to ask Max to drop her off at Charles' house. Dariyah failed to notice the satisfied smiles on her friends' faces and walked up to his house.
