CHAPTER TWELVE.
CHENNAI.Dariyah opened her eyes just in time to hear the call for prayer, she stretched before getting up. She slowly tiptoed across the sleeping beauties.
She headed towards her bathroom and did her wudu. She then headed towards her cupboard and took out her prayer mat. She wore her abaya and hijab, to start her prayer.
Charles woke up from with a little gasp. Not those nightmares again. Charles internally groaned while holding his head in his hands. Am I still not over that? Charles shook his head and checked his phone for the time, 5:12 am.
Charles then stood up for some water, he started to head towards the kitchen but stopped when he didn't find Dariyah sleeping beside a mouth wide open Rishi and Lavina having her legs on her as they continued sleeping. Charles scrunched up his eyebrows and headed towards her room to find the door ajar.
He noticed her praying. He stood still for a moment, taking in the sight. Calling her beautiful would be an understatement. She looked so peaceful and ethereal.
She turned her head towards the right and mumbled something before turning to his side to do the same. Charles eyes widened before hiding behind the door, not wanting to be caught staring at her like a creep.
He then walked away to take a water bottle from the fridge and started chugging. And within 2 minutes, Dariyah came out of the room and walked towards him.
She gave him a smile, before frowning a bit noticing his tired face and sweaty appearance. She decided to not question him, since he still seemed to be a bit lost. But in reality, he had forgotten about the nightmare the moment he laid his eyes on her.
She looked so calming and comforting that it made him to do the same beside her. Charles family wasn't exactly religious and he has such little knowledge about Islam and Muslim people in general, that he decided to research on it whenever he has the chance.
Taken aback by her beauty, the woman seemed to be glowing much more than she usually does after praying. Is that even a real thing?
"— Um, Charles, are you hearing me?" waved her hands in front of the boy who seemed to be just looking at her. Charles quickly shook out of his thoughts and gave her an interested look.
"Yeah, what were you saying?" Charles folded his arms against his chest, leaning against the wall.
Charles held back a smirk as he noticed her looking at his posture for two seconds before gulping hard, "I was— Um, I was asking if you're going back to sleep?" Dariyah stumbled a bit but regained her confidence with her chin raised.
"Why?" Charles stepped forward a little, before bending down to her height. She wasn't that short infront of him, maybe just 3-4 inches shorter. "What do you have in mind, Brownies?" Charles smirked suggestively.
"With the look you're giving me right now, I wouldn't hesitate to hit you with my pan. So, I suggest you to get your mind out of the gutter." Dariyah smirked, picking up her pan which was nearby.
She raised the pan and held it just a little below his jaw. She did take notice of how defined and sharped his jawline was. Can I outline it?— Shut the hell up, Dariyah. Now, whose head is in gutter? Dariyah internally rolled her eyes.
