CHAPTER TWENTY SEVEN.
KODAIKANAL.

The next day went by with them sightseeing for the last time. They returned early to their hotel and decided to use the hot tub.

They were all sitting in the hot tub with their swimsuits, except for Dariyah who wore a tank top and leggings.

They were taking sips of their champagnes leaving only Charles and Dariyah to be drinking fresh juices. The boys were confused by how much Charles was avoiding drinking alcohol in India but then when they see Dariyah with a non-alcoholic drink they understood and were surprised of how much she was affecting his everyday life.

They thought he'd change when they go back to work but boy were they going to be proven wrong.

"So, when will you guys be leaving?" Lavina asked, feeling a bit sad to part ways with the boys who she was beginning to attach with except for one of them but it still made her sad.

"In 2 more weeks. I can't believe these holidays are going by so fast. It's honestly been one of the best trips I've been in so far." Max confessed, unconsciously looking at Sneha during his last words. He quickly realised and hoped for no one to notice but was met with two pairs of eyes who had smirks on their faces. He sighed.

Charles and Dariyah shared a quiet laugh, having noticed Max lovesick look on the brunette.

"Honestly? It's been one of my favourite trips as well which is really funny since this is actually supposed to be my home but it is only now that I'm feeling like home." Rishi had a smile tug up on her lips looking at everyone around the tub.

"Then, isn't it us who're your home since it's only with us you've been feeling at home?" Lando cheekily smiled at Rishi, splashing some water on her glazed skin.

"I can't believe I'm going back to work in 2 weeks." Dariyah groaned and leaned her head on Charles- who patted it lovingly. Dariyah found herself becoming more and more comfortable with Charles that it was scaring her. She raised her head as soon as she realised, avoiding to meet eyes with a confused Charles.

He met eyes with Sneha who mouthed the words "Told you." Charles glared at her to which she shrugged, looking at him apologetically.

He remembered the talk they had yesterday.

"You knew who she was since the start, didn't you?" Sneha took him by surprise with that question.

Charles stared at her like a deer in headlights but then played it off by a nervous chuckle. "I don't know what you're talking about. I've known her only since the past few weeks."

"I may not be lawyer, Charles but I can read a person really well. It's my specialty." Sneha raised a brow at him, challenging.

Charles pondered about her words for a bit before giving up. "Yes." Charles sighed looking ahead at the calming scenery infront of him.

"Since when?"

"Since 4:23 PM, 17 December of 2008." Charles revealed without even having to think.

"Fucking god, you even remember the date and time?" Sneha looked at him with wide eyes, her curly hair swaying a bit with the wind.
