CHAPTER FORTY SIX.
ABU DHABI.

Charles woke up to find Dariyah looking at him with adoring smile. He got up in panic and checked to see if she was feeling better. "You're awake! Are you feeling better? Do you need me to call the doctor? Is your head aching? Or is your whole body? I can call the doc—"

"Charles." He calmed himself after hearing her voice after a long month. It felt like music notes to his ears. God, I could just hear her speak everyday. "Yeah?"

"I missed you too." And that's all it took for him to wrap her in his arms and kissing her head sweetly. He kept muttering her name near her ear, making her smile widely. She placed a chaste kiss on his neck, relieved to finally be in his arms.

"When'd you wake up? You should've woke me up." Charles asked softly, just pulling his head away while his arms and body remained close to her. He had enough of not having her near him, it was practically burning him.

"Ever since this one's drool has been dripping down my hand." Dariyah pointed towards a still sleeping Lavina, her drool all dried up on Dariyah's hand. "Helping me would be better, not just staring at it."

"Right." Charles chuckled under his breath, slowly raising the head of sleeping Lavina, just enough for Dariyah to pull her hand away in disgust.

"I gotta use the restroom." Dariyah cringed, getting down the bed. Wincing when the iron deficiency kicked in, Charles immediately rushing to her side and helped her to get off the bed and lead her towards the restroom.

"Just getting me off the bed would've been enough, Char."

"Then how would I get an excuse to be this close with you?"

"I almost died and you race my heart as soon as I wake up." Dariyah laughed at her joke, she turned to look at him but frowned when she shSaw his grim look at her joke.

Dariyah realised the words "almost died"must've hurt him. "Char, I'm sorry-"

"I'll wait till you come out." Charles forced out a smile and let her walk on her own after reaching the restroom. Dariyah gave him a small smile before closing the door on him.

"Here. I've got your fav." Charles passed her favourite Shani juice with some nougats. "The doctor said it's alright for you to eat those and I knew you'd be craving for junk after you wake up so I bought you boxes of them. They're
in the car."

"Have I ever told you how much I love you?" Dariyah didn't realise what she had said but the Monegasque surely did. The fireworks started to lit up in his body and his organs to start dancing. His face became as red as a cherry. He couldn't contain the excitement in him, "I left something in my car. Do you mind if I go back? I'll be back in 5."

"Sure, go ahead. Oh! And get me few more of these when coming back!" Dariyah called out to the skipping boy.

"I'll bring you the whole box!" Charles happily shouted back, his face filled with euphoria. Dariyah was confused but then laughed in adoration after watching him bump into a security guy and hugging the guard tightly, throwing him a flying kiss while walking away.

She just shook his head at his cuteness, "and he calls me clumsy." Dariyah busied herself with her favourite snacks, still haven't realised what she slipped up.
