I saw a comment on an aro tiktok and someone was replying to a comment saying aromantic wasn't a sexuality, just a temporary performance and not to argue with them because we probably aren't even at the age of 25.
Like what?
Their 25 point, someone asked what that had to do with it, and they said bc your brain doesn't develop until then and so I replied with if that's the case then no one under the age of 25 know anything at all and can know their sexuality- but that's not the case. Yes our brains don't develop until we are 25 so yes, some people may change their minds about their sexuality but that doesn't mean it's always temporary

Bro sometimes I wish being aromantic was temporary. A preference is like a choice. I didn't chose to feel uncomfortable around shipping culture and romance and I didn't chose to allow it to ruin things for me (maybe I did. I don't know. I blame myself a lot for allowing it to get under my skin but also sometimes you just can't help it. Things just are annoying and they get to you and either you can't ignore it because it's that's annoying to you or it's everywhere and you can't get away from it.) anyways sometimes I do love being aromantic but there are days where I'm like "there's no way I'd chose this" it's not even that I want to like romance but can't it's just I don't want to be annoyed all the time and romance is everywhere. If I wasn't aromantic I probably wouldn't it but I am so I have to live with it being everywhere and I have to live with being confused about things people do and say to or for their crushes or something.
Anyways all the replies to this person were educating them on the face that you don't need to be 25 to know your sexuality and that aromantic isn't temporary and is a valid sexuality so that's great 💚
