I don't need you to be anyone else

There's a difference between "I don't need anybody else" and "i don't need you to be anyone else"

Both mean "you're enough". But the first is typically said to the romantic love interest and it gives off "I don't need my friends they aren't important"

The second gives "you are perfect for me just the way you are." It puts importance on the person without making anyone else seem unimportant.

Like. I love pineapple and I love spaghetti. I'd say I love them pretty equally. Just because I love pineapple doesn't mean I don't love spaghetti. Both foods are perfect as they are too me, I don't need spaghetti to be refreshing but it's still perfect. I don't need pineapple to be warm and comforting and it's still perfect to me without those qualities.

I don't need spaghetti to be pineapple. But I can't have only spaghetti in my life, not bc spaghetti's not enough but because I would miss pineapple.

I think I stopped making sense but that's the post of today. Thanks for listening and I hope you have a great day/night. Take care 💚💜
