Happy pride month everybody 🥳💜🏳️‍🌈

I rant a lot on here so for today to celebrate pride I wanna share some positive things and say what I love about being aroace.

For starters I love how diverse the spectrum can be. There's allo aces and allo aros and so many different orientations along with being a-spec. Some aroaces experience it as one identity some experience it has separate identities. Some are romance and/or sex positive, some are negative and some are somewhere in between.

I love how I see the beauty in platonic love that I was probably overlooking before I realized I was aromantic. I "shipped" a lot of my favorite friendships bc I thought that was the next step up from friendship but now I know that's not always the case and friendships can most definitely be on the same level and I love my favorite character duos for the friendship they have without feeling like I need to ship them to make their love "more"

I love how I don't need to worry about my own relationship problems, because I've never had a relationship.

I don't need to stress about a big future wedding. If I do get married (marriage has great tax benefits lol so I'd be down for marrying my bestie) I'm okay with a simple wedding and if my like counter part/spouse/bestie wants a big ceremony that's fine you know I'm cool with whatever but my point is I'm likely to have no wedding or a small and easy wedding.

When I watch shows I look past the romance plot lines and give appreciation to more of what the show has to offer.

Being aroace inspires me to write poetry and include aroace themes and focus on platonic love in my stories and in real life.

Lastly, I have more time to spend with my friends and with myself and my family because I don't have a boyfriend.

That's all I have for today, I hope you all have a wonderful day. Wishing you all the very best Pride Month, thanks for listening and take care. 💚💜
