Mildly annoying

Man it's times like this I wish I wasn't romance avoidant and actually liked fictional romance but at least I'm prepared this time before it actually happens before I get my hopes up.

I started watching this new show- it's about ghosts buts it's actually not Jatp. So that's fun. Anyways I instantly decide Charles is gonna be my favorite character because he slightly reminds be of Reggie and then seven minutes into the first episode he pulls out the "what they make us split up in the afterlife" (in this show, death is like a person and there's like a...idk how to decorate it, like a legion, a government type system called "the afterlife" or soenthing that like make sure ghosts don't cheat death and go where they're supposed to go and Charles and his best friend Edwin are cheating death) anyways Charles is worried about being with him if Death catches them and Reggie was worried about the same thing so I'm like "Charles I already love you"

None of that's important I just wanted to share it. Anyways there's this girl Crystal and as I'm watching the show Charles is obviously flirting with Crystal but it's pretty one sided so I'm like hoping overtime it just doesn't go to that romantic level and they stay friends but I was too curious and too scared that I had to look it up and they do end up kissing. Idk when. But they will. And I'm like "of course they will" because like every single show has to add romance and for some reason it just ruins or not completely ruins but takes away fro mute show for me. Like most of the time it's just mildly annoying. Like in this case, it'll hopefully just be mildly annoying because I found out about the romance before getting too attached to the show where as another certain ghost show, I was obsessed with  before I knew everyone only cared about the ships.

Anyways it's just also, like part of it is I can't really complain about this anywhere else or too anyone else because for everyone else romance adds stuff. Like if I brought this up with my sister she'd say "well they have to add romance to make it more interesting, what else are they gonna add?" And like Charles and Crystal staying friends would be just as interesting because what makes this dynamic interesting for me is one, it's already interesting but also Edwin low key hates Crystal so it's like an interesting dynamic between Crystal and Edwin and Crystal and Charles how they contrast

But noooo. Everything's gotta be romantic all the time. Like- now I feel like I won't be as obsessed with this show as I would have been if they stayed friends

I don't know. Maybe I'm just a hater.
