The reverberating bang of Odin's staff causes alert to spread across Asgard' s often peaceful castle. Guards, Warriors and all other noble people were summoned to the throne room, including Loki and Thor.
"silence!"
The king yells, his voice bouncing off every stone wall.
Loki stood on the top left of the stairs, beside his mother and Fandral a few steps down, as Thor stood on the right, closest to his father and beside Volstagg, Hogan and Sif.
"there were monsters in Asgard' s castle early dawn this morning"
Odin begins, standing from his golden chair.
"looking for something, that I do not know"
Whispers wave across the tense room.
"the frost giants tied to conquer Norway a millennia ago, but Asgard drove them away in a great war! I haven't taken this intrusion as an act of new war yet, however, it may not stay that way."
the all father continues.
"Loki and Thor."
The boys stand tall, chins up. The blond looked more confident and proud however Loki just looked anxious.
"you two will go to Jotunheim to find an idea on what these creatures want against us. The warriors three and Lady Sif will accompany you both with service. As goes for everyone else, keep on guard, protect Asgard."
Everyone nods, marching to their positions. Loki subtly glances at Fandral who is stood quietly beside him, he smiles gently, an attempt to be somewhat friendly to the warrior, who used to be the love of his life.
Fandral just stares back nonchalantly.
"ill see you on the mission Loki."
he mutters to the prince before walking away into the training room.
"see you later..."
His soft voice whispers back, clutching onto the emerald in his pocket.
Jotenheim.
Thor's hair is coated in snow and frost, Sif's teeth chatter as the freezing Jotun air brushes between us all, Fandral rubs his arms in attempt to warm up and the others cling onto their huge fur coats. I dont feel so cold, why am I not cold? I ask myself, looking around at the frozen over land, haunted with sleeping giants. Monsters everywhere.
The castle is still far as we creep through every tiny path we can find, passing through towering buildings and ice palaces. It was hauntingly beautiful, hauntingly familiar. The uncanny feeling following my every footstep.
"its freezing..."
Hogan groans, his lips a pink shade of blue
"we're here for father. pull it together!"
Thor whispers back harshly as we all look up in amazement at the tall castle exterior in the far distance.
"I have a bad feeling about this brother.."
I mutter, subconsciously clinging onto his cape.
"bad? this is going to be amazing"
Thor laughs. He isn't even thinking about the dangers, how were going to get into the castle without being seen, nothing but his big-headed thoughts.
"we could get killed if were not careful."
Fandral spits.
"killed!?"
