Luka smiled, grateful that Kagami had agreed to let him watch her practice. It was a better start to a relationship with her than he had hoped for. She hadn't expressed an interest in him, but at least she didn't seem bitter about Adrien marrying someone else. If anything, she seemed nice because she was concerned for Marinette. That was one amazing thing about Kagami; she was often misunderstood but could be rather awesome.

Kagami wasn't sure why she had agreed to let Luka see her at fencing practice. She supposed it was because she felt lonely. It had been years since she and Adrien had split up, yet she was taken aback when she heard he had eloped with a model. What had happened to him and Marinette?

She sighed. She hoped that Marinette would find someone. The girl deserved the best. She knew since she was her friend.

Marinette stood in the bakery with a stunned expression. She could not believe it. Felix came here to get a chocolate croissant and claimed he would be happy to be her plus one at the work party.  She agreed to let him if he ordered the same thing for a month. She did not believe he would stick with it. Why should he?  Adrien had abandoned her along with Chat Noir. Why should he be any different?

She sighed. She had never been so puzzled in her life. What was it about Felix that made her feel hopeful? She had not felt that way in a long time. It's hard to believe it was earlier that day that her heart had been broken. She should have kept in better touch with Adrien while she was in Shanghai. Is that why he ditched her for that model or was it because she hesitated? She should have taken Kagami's advice. Now it was too late; she had lost him for good.

She supposed that it wouldn't hurt to take Felix's offer.  It could not hurt. It would certainly beat being alone while the others had someone to dance with at it.  She would not have planned to attend it, but her boss expected her to be there.

Felix smiled. He knew he was right about following her. The crossiant was delicious. The girl who makes them is great too. He blushed at the thought of her. He could not wait to take her to the work party.  Yep, he was going to knock her socks off.  The date was as good as his.

Why was he so excited? Perhaps it was because he felt he finally had a chance with her. No one had snatched her up, which surprised him, as he thought she was a great catch. Adrien didn't realize what he was missing out on. It's a shame he had his opportunity and blew it, but it wasn't his fault his cousin had married someone from another country. He intended to win Marinette's favor because he was sure she was the one for him. He liked her.

He smirked.  He still had it, the flirting skills and everything that Adrien lacked. Yep, Marinette was as good as his. He had the ring too. Adrien had given it to him after he found out the girl he was with hadn't agreed with his vigilante hero work. Poor Plagg was disappointed but soon grew accustomed to having Felix as his owner. He saw to it the kwami was given plenty of Cambert, and he kept a bit of cookie in stock in case Tikki, Ladybug's kwami stopped by for a visit. The cat kwami had been through  a lot with being given away as if he was yesterday's news and it was all because of a crummy girl.

"Plagg, stick with me and you will be just fine," Felix says. "At least you have enough sense to appreciate the finer things in life and you like the pig-tailed bakery girl,"  Plagg says. "Yes, what of it?" Felix asks.  "I am glad you notice her because Adrien was stupid to give her up for some girl who speaks fluent Spanish, and Italian. What is so great about her?" Plagg remarks.

"I agree with you on that one, I always thought, Marinette was his type," Felix says. "Hmm, well, I am happy for you.  I am starting to ship, Felinette now. I even had Tikki make t-shirts with the ship name on it," Plagg goes. Felix blushes, "Awe, stop it Plagg." He secretly is glad that Plagg sees him with Marinette, but he only got to see her for the first time in years today.
