Author's Note: This is the bonus part and last official part of the short story Spots vs. Claws. I hope you enjoy reading this as much as I enjoyed writing it. No copycats allowed.
-Summer out!
Zoe's POV:
I had accused him of being a monster. I did not let him explain.
That was hardly fair of me, then again life had a way of being unfair now didn't it?
He defeated his actions by saying he did not want to be hurt. I knew it was after him. The question was why had it come? Why him?
I was the one with the emotional issues. I was the one who could not get over her ex.
The same ex who had left her for her sister of all people. He had been left too, I had to remember that right now.
"Are you Ladybug?" He asked. I had denied it. Yet, when I removed the bandage the injury was healed. My ankle was no longer swollen.
"I know you are ladybug," he whispered.
I watched as he walked away. I could sense the disappointment in his voice and actions.
I could do nothing. I was only some silly girl. Why could not he see that for himself?
Sure, I was a woman, but I might as well have been a teen. I barely felt fit for the job when I was given it long before he came along. Why did he have to go and be so $%$^%^&^& confusing? Why was he handsome? Why so caring?
Ugh, why was I so, so...ugh.
Luka's POV:
"I know your ladybug," I whispered. Agh, why I had told her such a thing? Surely, she would think I am insane. It is not like I was supposed to know what akumas were or anything. I could not tell her I was Chat.
How could I? I had discovered the two women I desired the most were not two separate beings as I initially thought but all were the same lady. I would have been overjoyed except this meant Ladybug had only agreed to be mine because she pitied me in some way or felt it would give her power over me.
Why was it as Zoe she still felt something for him, for the man who had broken her heart? Yet as Ladybug she appeared less weak. As Ladybug she did not want to kiss another girl.
I sighed. I went back to the guest room. I would not dare leave her. Even if it killed me I would remain with her.
I had not dared to hope to find the one who was meant to be my wife. Not after Jillian. I had, but she did not love me.
How could I have been so wrong about Zoe? She was the one who made me forget my pain, my past, and all that came with it. She was the one who made me love again. I had not intended to love anyone. Yet, I loved her.
I loved Zoe with all my heart. No wonder, it pained me to see her suffering. I knew because I had been through it once myself.
Why had she lied about being ladybug? Did she secretly long to give it all up? Was that it?
How had she healed like she did? She was not even transformed. She did it as a civilian just as I destroyed the akuma as a civilian.
