    Zoe's POV:

I  waved to Luka as I left his boat. I  felt less sad after spending some time with him. I sighed.

I   felt a blush form across my cheeks as I returned to my place. I smiled. I entered my place.

I shut the door and locked it. I frowned when my phone buzzed. Who was it?

I looked at the screen and freaked out. It was Luka. How? I don't recall giving him my number.

Did he ask someone for it?  I wrote a poem, then went back to checking his message.

This is what the message said,   "Zoe, I hope you made it home safely. Love, Luka."

I blushed harder.  Good thing, he could not see me right now. I would be mortified if he knew how attractive he was.

I texted him back, "Luka, yes, I did, thanks for checking on me. How did you get my number?"

He responded, "I might have texted Juleka after you left. My sister was more than happy to give it to me."

"You could have asked me for it," I texted him.

"I know, but I was nervous," He texted me.

"Nervous, about what? I did not scare you with the hug did I?"

"No, but I was surprised. I did not expect you to hug me.  I have not had a hug in years except from my mom and sister. Somehow, I don't think that counts," He said.

"I know what you mean, my half-sister Chole used to hug me all the time, but now she is busy with her boyfriend.  My stepfather hugs whenever he can," I replied.

"So, what movie did you have in mind for Saturday?" I asked.

"I was going to let you pick it out when you arrive," He said.

         "And?" I asked.

"And, I was wondering would you be okay if we had supper before the movie?"

I gasped. He wanted me to eat a meal with him too. Should I say yes to the supper? I hesitated for a few seconds. I was taken off guard by what he had to say.

"Zoe, you there?" He inquired in the next message.

"Yes, I am here. Yes to the supper by the way. Should I bring anything?"

Luka looked at the screen and smirked. Should she bring anything?  He shook his head. He only wanted to see her again. He hoped perhaps it could be a fresh start for them both. Was it bad he held hope that she felt the same for him?

"No, you just come with that gorgeous smile of yours."  He blushed, why had he said that?

I  smiled. Well, at least I knew he liked me. I supposed that was a start. How did I feel about him?  Honestly, I was not sure yet.

"Alright, I will try to remember to smile since you like it so much," I said.

"We will have a salad, spaghetti with meatballs, garlic bread, and brownies for dessert. I will make sure there is plenty of popcorn too. Oh, and the drinks will be iced tea, lemonade, water, and sodas." He stated.
