Well, since no one voted on the poll after the previous part, I decided to go with Nino's perspective for this particular part.
Nino's POV:
I am glad she got it: Life, I mean. In some ways, I feel that is not good enough. I mean, she did not just hurt my girl. She took the woman I love away from me for good. She killed her in a cold-blooded murder. How could Lila do such a horrid thing?
I thought she was a friend. It turns out Adrien, Marinette, and Sabrina were right, Lila is a liar. A liar, a lunatic, and a murderess. I was shocked when I witnessed Lila kidnap Alya! I screamed to let her go and take me instead. To my horror, not only did Lila not listen, but she took her to the top of the Tower. This would have been so bad, except that poor Alya did not stand a chance.
Lila had taken her miraculous and hidden it somewhere. It was not found until it was too late for Alya. I know Marinette has it now, but I dare not tell anyone. I'd rather not. It is not my secret to share about Marinette being the guardian. Shh.
I sobbed. I knew Alya was doomed. I could tell by the terrified look in her eyes. I saw it again as she struggled to reason with Lila. There was no reasoning with her, though, the monster. Next thing I knew it I heard a scream as someone fell, or rather was pushed off it. I saw her fall, and I attempted to catch her. It was no use, I was too late. Alya fell to her death, and Lila was the one who had done it.
I held Alya's lifeless body in my arms. I cried, screaming in anguish, "Alya, no! Please, no!" I tried to give her cpr, but it did not work. She was gone. I will never see her smile, hear her laughter, hold her hand, kiss her lips, or take her on another date.
The worst of it is that I never got to pop the question; I had the proposal all planned out. Then, she was dead. I had to deal with the trauma of dealing with the hard pain of losing the only girl I ever loved.
The trial came, and I testified against the bad girl. I was relieved she was taken away in shackles and hauled off to the mental asylum. In some ways, I was not sure that was enough of a punishment after all she had put Alya through. I never visited her. Marinette did, but I was not sure why. Then again, Marinette is one to forgive. I am not sure I can or ever will be able to forgive that evil #$#$#$ for all she did.
I keep in touch with Alya's parents. Both treat me as a son. I am glad. My own mother died years ago, and my father has not kept in touch in years. It is nice to be treated so kindly by the parents of my almost-fiancé. At least, I know they understand. I know they can't say they blame me for how I feel.
I was robbed of my future wife, of any hope of any children, grandchildren, etc. I was robbed of my entire future. All because one stinkin', evil woman was allowed to roam free in society for far too long. I hear she killed her father in the past, too. Of course, she was a child then, so it could have been an accident or self-defense. The current incident was definitely no accident, and not a suicide. The entire police department apologized when they figured out they had not looked properly at the facts the first time through.
So, you see, in some ways, I feel as though I am sentenced for life. Life without a family. Life with no one to keep me company at night, to snuggle with, or watch movies with, or anything. I am forever without the woman I planned to marry. Yes, in this way, I am sentenced to life.
