Chapter 6: Time to Fly

"The key to flying is energy control." TJ said. "It's the quickest way to flying around."

"Meaning?" Talia said.

"I-uh... I never had to explain it before." TJ said as he scratched his head.

"It's this stuff." Mya said as she fired an energy beam at rock and destroyed it.

"Pretty much." TJ chuckled.

"Okay..." Talia said with widened eyes.

"What do you call it when someone does a move like that?" TJ asked.

"Light shows and tricks." Talia said.

"Not surprised." TJ said.

"Well, I'll show you energy control so you can use it to fly." TJ said.

TJ and Talia sat on the ground.

"Quiet your mind and relax. Then when you're ready, start slowing drawing out your energy from within." TJ said.

After a few seconds, an energy ball formed in TJ's hands.

"Woah." Talia said as leaned forward.

"Okay, ready to try?" TJ said. "Don't forget the relaxion part.

Talia tried to do it as well but was clearly struggling.

"Let it come naturally okay, don't force it." TJ said.

Talia looked up at TJ with tears in her eyes.

An hour later:

"Thanks for the food." Talia said.

"Of course. You're a guest here after all." Sheele said.

"Wow, this great!" Talia said. "Our cooks don't make anything like this."

"Your family owns a restaurant?" Chelsea asked.

"No, I meant our personal cooks." Talia clarified.

"How many rooms do you have?!" Chelsea asked. "Ten?! Twenty?!"

"I should know the answer to that." Talia said. "Maybe four dozen."

"Whoa! That's crazy." Lubbock said.

"Alright, TJ! When are you going wife this girl?" Chelsea asked.

"I get a big sister?!" Mya said.

"We're not getting married, stop saying that!!" TJ said.

Another Hour Later:

TJ and Talia continued their session while Mya was trying to catch a frog.

After a few minutes, Talia made an energy ball.

"Yeah, there you go." TJ said. "You're a natural."

"So, can I fly now?" Talia said.

"No. Not yet." TJ chuckled, causing Talia to huff.

In the Spirit Realm:

Tatsumi was training with weighted gauntlets on his wrists and ankles.

"Your friend up there is working up quite the sweat, huh?" King David said.

"Long time no see, David." King San said.

"They say this Tatsumi guy is one of the top two strongest fighters in the north." King David said. "How heavy are those weights?"

"Just two tons." King San said.

"Two tons... a piece?" King David said.

"Didn't think they'd be that heavy, huh?" King San smirked.

"Here I thought they were heavier." King David said. "Eight tons is pretty measly. Pappas can do that effortlessly. Compared to your guy, Pappas outclasses him in every way."

"Oh really? It turns out there is a tournament coming up on planet called earth." King San said. "Want to put your money where your mouth is and enter Pappas?"

"You bet." King David said. "And he'll win the whole thing."

"Hey, Tatsumi. You want those weights a little heavier?" King San said.

"Go for it." Tatsumi said. "Whatever you like."

"You can transform if you like by the way." King San said.

"Gotcha." Tatsumi said.

King David made the weights ten tons each.

Tatsumi was still able to move in the weights. He then transformed, which made the weights feel nonexistent.

King David and Pappas looked in shock.

"I think we'll pass on that tournament." King David said as he and Pappas walked away.

"That's what I thought." King San chuckled.

On Earth:

"Okay, flying lesson one is maintaining control of your energy." TJ said.

Talia was trying her hardest to lift off the ground.

"Just relax your body and focus your energy." TJ said. "It'll come to you."

After a few minutes, Talia began lifting off the ground.

"There you got it." TJ said. "Nice and easy."

Talia then came back to the ground.

"I did it but I'm exhausted." Talia said. "I'm good for today but I'll be back to tomorrow."

"Uh, okay." TJ said.

"Later." Talia said as she got in her plane.

"Yeah, take it easy." TJ said.

Mine and Najenda returned.

"Hey you two. So how was it?" Leone asked.

"It was something alright." Najenda muttered.

"I never imagined what the boss would look like in a dress." Mine chuckled.

"WHAT!? The boss wore a fucking dress!?" Leone said.

"Now that's fucking crazy." Chelsea said.

"Keep rubbing it in and I'll break you." Najenda said causing Leone and Chelsea to go dead silent.

"You should wear them sometime." Mine suggested. "I'm sure Lubbock would like it."

Najenda huffed and pulled out a box of cigarettes and walked away.

"She's embarrassed." Mine said.

"She's pretty self-aware." Chelsea chuckled.

At the Capital:

"Esdeath is really going all out, huh?" Wave said.

"Yeah. Ever since Stylish built her a gravity training room, she's been in there non-stop." Bols said.

"She's broken through her limits multiple times already." Kurome said. "Knowing her, she'll unlock another transformation at this rate."

"Once, she heard Tatsumi was coming back she instantly isolated herself in the gravity room." Run said.

"Yeah, no kidding." Wave chuckled.

The Next Day:

TJ and Mya were trying to get some early morning training, but Talia pulled up earlier than expected.

"Okay, let's pick up where we left off." Talia said.

"Maybe, tomorrow, okay, Sis." TJ chuckled.

"Yeah, okay, Big Brother." Mya sighed.
