Chapter 30: A Nightmare Revisited

Akame's self-detonation was still going on even after Lars was completely incinerated.

The giant overflow of energy then expanded.

"We lost her!" Chelsea said.

"Fuck this!" Leone said.

Najenda grabbed Leone by her scarf with her mechanical arm.

"Stop, Leone!" Najenda ordered. 

"Leone, you feel that just like the rest of us!" Lubbock said. "That's Akame's life burning out."

"You heard what Najenda said, Akame choose this for herself." Esdeath said. "This was her sacrifice and choice to make."

With the Jaegers and Talia:

"Damn it!" Wave said. "Mine's going to kill us for this!"

"Let's hope Tatsumi lets us off the hook." Bols chuckled.

"I've seen Tatsumi mad." Seryu said. "Not a good sight."

"I can't believe Mya gave us the slip like that." Talia said. "That girl sure is sneaky."

"She is Mine's daughter after all." Wave said.

"Why would she be so interested in fighting this mysterious wizard and monster anyway?" Dr. Stylish said.

"Who knows." Run said. "If Mya is anything like Mine and Tatsumi, her actions are unpredictability personified."

"Why, Big Sister?"  Kurome thought. "She killed all those people. She never murdered someone for no reason."

"Don't worry, Kurome. We'll bring those people back." Wave said. "That's what the RongoRongo Books are there for, right?"

"That's not the problem here, Wave." Kurome said.

"Akame didn't even look like herself." Run said. "What was that?"

"I have no idea." Seryu said.

"It was very disturbing to say the least." Bols said.

The shockwaves from Akame's explosion the hit everyone like a train.

"Jesus! What the fuck!?" Seryu said.

"The hell!?" Wave exclaimed.

"That was a massive explosion. Far from here." Run said.

"Why is my heart throbbing?"  Kurome thought. "No!... It can't be Big Sister, can it?"

At the Scene of the Explosion:

A giant crater was formed where Akame exploded with small lightning flashes, above the crater was a lifeless Akame.

Akame's body was covered in black stone and was floating in the air for a minute until it fell to the ground and crumpled into pieces and was blown away by the wind.

"Every trace of Akame's energy is gone." Najenda said.

"Damn it..." Leone mumbled.

"You guys need to take Mya and Mine somewhere safe." Leone said. "I have to see what happened."

"She's right, us seeing the aftermath won't do us any good." Chelsea said.

"Be careful, Leone." Najenda said as she handed Mine and Mya over to Susanoo.

"Tell Kurome what happened to Akame." Leone said. "And tell Mine and Mya about TJ when they wake up."

"Wait, what about TJ?" Lubbock said.

"I'm not sure about Tatsumi, but I heard from Akame that Lars killed TJ after we were knocked out." Leone said.

"What!? But TJ is so strong!" Sheele said.
