Chapter 37: The Monster is Free

Tatsumi appeared back at the Overwatch.

"Tatsumi's back." Sheele said.

But before Tatsumi could get a word out, he was engulfed in a smothering hug from Leone who trapped his head between her breasts again.

"Finally, you're back!" Leone said.

"I-I promised you... didn't I?" Tatsumi struggled to say.

"Lucky fucking bastard!"  Lubbock thought.

"You holding up?" Najenda asked. "How are you feeling?"

"I'm good." Tatsumi smiled. "Just fine."

"Mya is on her way back from the Capital. That should give us a time of rest, right?" Chelsea said.

"Yeah, having the Rongo Radar means even if Lars destroys the Imperial Capital, we can bring it back, including the people." Tatsumi said.

With Lars:

Drakeo's head graphically exploded with blood spewing everywhere.

After staring down Drakeo's decapitated body, Lars smiled and tossed away Drakeo's body and  blew it to pieces with an energy blast.

Lars began celebrating his new freedom.

At the Overwatch:

Tatsumi had a puzzled look on his face.

"Tatsumi, you seem bothered." Bulat said. "What's going on?"

"Well, Lars finally did it." Tatsumi said. "I felt him kill Drakeo."

"What!?" Lubbock exclaimed.

"Are you serious?" Leone asked.

"Yeah, I feel it too." Bulat said. "Drakeo's energy disappeared."

"Drakeo was cruel and treated Lars like a slave." Tatsumi said. "It seems Lars finally had enough."

"I suppose so. Could this be a good thing?" Gozuki said. "Not having anyone in Lars' ear; ordering him around. There's a chance that Lars eases off or stop his attacks altogether."

"Yay! We saved the earth without any more fighting." Cosmina said.

"Wishful thinking guys." Tatsumi said, deflated. "Violence is all Lars knows."

With Lars:

Lars was flying around free as a bird.

"Now Lars have fun!" Lars cheered. "Now what city should Lars kill?"

Lars came across a city full of citizens.

With his breath cannon, Lars wiped out a large portion of the city.

Lars landed in the city as the civilians ran and hid from him.

Lars took a sprinting stance and then ruthlessly ran at the people and destroyed the area all but woman who was cowering at the side of a building.

"Don't hurt me, please!" the woman begged. "I have a child! I promise I'll give you anything you want!"

"Hey! Do you think Lars handsome?" Lars said.

"Uh... yes! Yes! You are!" the woman said. 

"Great! Now Lars will smooch you!" Lars said as he puckered his lips.

The woman then screamed in terror.

"Hey! You lied to Lars!" Lars scowled.

Lars saw a magazine with an actor on it.

"This is image of earth girl's perfect boyfriend?" Lars said. 

Lars switched his face to the face of the actor.
