Chapter 26: The Terror of Lars

Tatsumi and Akame locked hands and began headbutting each other over and over until both of their foreheads were drizzling with blood.

Tatsumi blocked a kick from Akame and his follow-up punch was dodged by Akame. He barely dodged a handstand kick from Akame and kneed her in the abdomen. 

Akame leg swept Tatsumi, but he dodged a punch from her and leapt into the air and landed a hammer strike down on her head and Akame immediately retaliated by grabbing Tatsumi's leg and slamming him down to the ground.

Tatsumi rolled out of the way of an attempted stomp from Akame and dodged a swift kick from Akame and leg swept her.

"Not bad, Akame."  Tatsumi thought.

"There's more to come."  Akame thought.

After a brief exchange, Akame began firing rapid energy beams, but Tatsumi swatted them away with no effort, causing Akame to leap to the air and fire a massive blast at Tatsumi.

After seeing that Tatsumi completely tanked the blast, Akame began chuckling, prompting Tatsumi to start chuckling as well.

WITH NIGHT RAID, ESDEATH, LEX, DRAKEO, AND MONSOON:

"Tell me master, is that odd creature really Lars?" Monsoon asked.

"I'm not sure. He's been in that ball my entire life." Drakeo said. "No one's ever survived meeting him, except for the Supreme Priest over there.

"Is that fat kid the one you were worried about?" Mine asked.

"Yes. That's Lars." Lex said. "That is the face that I see in my nightmares."

"What? So, we're dealing with the real thing after all!" Drakeo said.

"How can that be?" Monsoon said.

"Hey! Lars!" Drakeo called.

"The way you were talking about him, I'd thought he'd be scarier." TJ said.

"Don't be deceived." Lex said. "We're done for."

"I wouldn't write us off just yet." Najenda said. "Sure, his power is off the charts, but we're not looking at this as an unwinnable fight."

"You all really feel this way!? Honestly!?" Lex said.

"Yes. We'll hit this guy with everything that we got." Najenda said.

Lars began pretending to type-rope walk over to Night Raid, Esdeath and Lex.

Lars simply looked over at everyone and trotted off and walked over to Drakeo and Monsoon.

"Go fight them already!" Drakeo said.

Lars ignored Drakeo continued playing around and clapping his hands.

WITH TATSUMI AND AKAME:

"Die!" Akame said as she charged at Tatsumi said.

"No! Wait a sec!" Tatsumi said, stopping Akame in her tracks. "I'm sensing a huge source of energy. Lars has been freed. There's no doubt about it."

Akame began laughing.

"So, what if he has." Akame said. "There you stand looking all worried about it when he hasn't given you a single reason to be scared. You're just buying into the hype. Use your head, we're stronger than anything Drakeo can throw at us. Next to us, they're all weaklings. You would think that the Supreme Priest would be all powerful, but has he ever lived up to that expectation? Don't you see? He's been in awe of our power this whole time. Maybe Lars is a threat to him, but to us? Not a chance in hell."
