Chapter 31: Rest Our Hopes on Mya

The Jaegers managed to find four of the five RongoRongo Books.

"Where do you guys think Mya even flew off to?" Run asked.

"No idea." Talia said. "After we get these books, we should find them."

"Our trail has gone cold." Dr. Stylish said. "Without a lead, looking for them is like finding a needle in a haystack."

"As long as Tatsumi is with them, I'm sure they're okay." Wave said.

"We got four of the RongoRongo Books with us; if we get the last one..." Run said.

"I hope you're not implying that anyone is dead." Kurome said.

"No, I'm not that pessimistic." Run said. "I'm saying we should focus on what we can do instead. That's bringing back all the people Akame killed at the tournament."

"Can these old dusty ass books really resurrect the dead?" Talia asked.

"That's right." Wave said. "A huge demon called Daeva comes out and we get three wishes."

"The last RongoRongo Book is dead ahead." Dr. Stylish said.

AT THE OVERWATCH:

Night Raid and Esdeath arrived at the Overwatch.

"We've been expecting you." Megan said. "What's wrong with Mine and Mya? Are they alright?"

"They're okay. Akame just knocked them out so we can get them to safety." Najenda said.

"Take them inside so they can rest, Bolic." Leone said.

"Yeah, sure." Bolic said.

"So, it's true." Megan said. "The nightmarish monster Lars is alive and well unfortunately."

"Mya might be our last chance of beating him." Leone said.

"Hey, Megan, surely you can tell us that Tatsumi is okay, right?" Chelsea said.

"Don't worry. Tatsumi is dead already remember?" Megan chuckled.

"Yeah, you're right." Chelsea chuckled.

"I do sense that Tatsumi has sustained a lot of damage." Megan said. 

"Drakeo and Lars, what about them?" Lubbock said.

"That wizard's power is fueled by hate that swells every minute." Megan said.

"And TJ?" Sheele asked.

"Sorry, I can't sense him." Megan said.

"Damn it...." Esdeath sighed.

"What about Supreme Priest?" Najenda asked.

"I can feel it." Megan said. "It's so weak. It feels as if he's barely holding on."

"This sucks dude."  Chelsea said.

"What's going to happen to this world?" Megan said.

"You're the guardian of earth now, Megan." Esdeath said. "If you don't have the answers, how are we supposed to know?"

"You're right." Megan said. "I apologize."

"Don't be sorry." Esdeath said. "We're facing an enemy that's left the Supreme Priest laying broken in the dirt. The only thing that's certain is our chances of defeating Lars are slim at best."

"So, all we did was delay the inevitable, huh?" Lubbock said.

"Don't say that man." Bulat said.

"Mine and Mya are resting easy." Bolic said.
