Chapter 58: Out of the Pan and into the Fire

"Damn you!" Akame said.

"No Akame! Calm down!" Tatsumi said. "Don't let him get to you."

"Aww, do you want to save your friends that bad." Lars mocked.

"Fuck you and your shitty tricks!!" Tatsumi said.

Tatsumi then unleashed a massive energy beam at Lars.

"Shit! Where did he go?" Akame said.

A huge version of Lars then emerged out of the hole caused by the energy beam.

"I'm invincible in here you damn fools." Lars said. "You're no fun anymore so I'm ending this."

Lars then began using the innards of his body to his advantage and punched Tatsumi and Akame and blasted them in mid-air.

"I'll absorb the woman." Lars said.

The slimes of Lars' body began inching towards Akame and began wrapping around her.

"No! Akame!" Tatsumi said.

Tatsumi rushed over and blasted the slimes off of Akame, picked her up and tried to fly away.

Lars grabbed Tatsumi and swung both him and Akame to the ground.

"If you want to be absorbed too then I won't stop you." Lars chuckled.

Tatsumi grabbed Akame and flew off again.

"You're not going anywhere." Lars laughed.

Tatsumi then rushed at Lars, but Lars vanished.

"Behind you." Lars said as he came out of the wall.

Tatsumi blasted Lars and pieces of Lars went everywhere.

Lars then manifested out of his own pieces.

"That's funny." Lars chuckled. "Keep on trying. All I have to do is watch you flail your arms. Before long, you'll tire yourself out with these pointless attacks."

"Guess we'll see." Tatsumi said.

"It's your choice." Lars said. "It's your choice. Keep on struggling until the end or I'll absorb you right now."

Lars then kicked Tatsumi into the dark hollows.

On the World of the Priests:

"Damn it! I want to see in there!" Elder Priest said.

"What exactly is happening inside Lars body." Kubo Priest said.

On Earth- Inside of Lars:

"Hiding won't do you any good." Lars said.

Lars then grabbed Tatsumi as he tried to get away and Tatsumi blasted Lars' head off, but Lars instantly regenerated his head.

Akame finally came to and woke up.

"You're stronger than most, I'll give you that." Lars said. "Anyone else would've used up all their energy by now."

"Don't count me out yet." Tatsumi said. "I still have enough power to do some damage."

Tatsumi the began firing a barrage of energy beams Lars then began hitting everywhere.

"Is that what you call good aim." Lars chuckled.

The beams then began hitting around the fat Lars that was in a pod and a beam almost hit him until Lars jumped in the way and blocked it.

Akame took note of this and hatched an idea.

Tatsumi then dropped to a knee in exhaustion.

"If that was your best shot then this won't last much longer." Lars chuckled.
