Aaliyah walked into the Malibu kitchen, Pepper was watching the news.
"You look exhausted." Pepper comments.
Aaliyah smiled wryly, "well with everything going on I'm split between what's happening in Gulmira, my dad basically begging me to get together with Tony and break up with James, speaking of James he's thinking I'm cheating on him and he was texting me last night pestering me about children, even though I'm not actually talking to James." she ranted to Pepper.
"And the fact that hopelessly in love with Tony, that pretty much sums it up." said Pepper.
That comment made Aaliyah stop in her tracks, she turned around, "Pepper-" Aaliyah started.
"Oh please, you got drunk one night and told me, besides I saw how you and Tony were looking at each other at the gala." Pepper said.
"Where'd Tony go?" Aaliyah asked wanting to somehow change the subject.
"I have no clue." said Pepper.
Aaliyah chuckled, she walked into the workshop, she looked at her suit and wondered where Tony's was.
"JARVIS, where's Tony?" Aaliyah asked.
"Mr. Stark has asked me-"
"JARVIS." said Aaliyah warningly.
"Mr. Stark's in Gulmira." said JARVIS.
"What?!" yelled Aaliyah incredulously, she sat down and called Tony, his face appeared on the screen.
"Anthony Edward Stark." Aaliyah said, Tony froze seeing the anger on her face. "You have five seconds to tell you what the fuck you're doing."
"Ah, Liyah, welcome to the party, I'm just going to deal with the Ten Rings, really quickly. I'll be home in time for tea." said Tony.
"You haven't even conducted proper test flights and the least you could do was invite me along." said Aaliyah.
Tony opened his mouth to argue.
"Plummeting to our deaths as we fall from the sky doesn't count as a test flight." Aaliyah added.
"Liyah, those are our weapons, I need to stop them and I couldn't put you in danger, you're far too important to me, I couldn't risk losing you." said Tony, there was no more time for chatting as Tony started attacking the Ten Rings people.
Aaliyah waited for Tony to speak again.
"You really need to take yours out one day." Tony comments.
Aaliyah smiled, "when the need arises." she said, before looking at her phone as she heard it buzzing, her smile faded.
